Hi im trying to find legendary games on ps2 any recommendation are welcomed

You should explain what is legendary for you: a particular genre (action, rpg, ...) or AAA games only, or games that are considered the best for that console in every top-ten over the internet?
I'll list some of most famous games I've played and enjoyed, while the others may be legendary only for me because I liked them!

For PS2, you should play Yakuza 2 and Ratchet & Clank 2, great games.

So many Shin Megami Tensei spin-offs
Three GTA games
Metal Gear Solid 2 & 3
Dragon Quest VIII
Disgaea
Katamari Damacy
Psychonauts

Some personal suggestions(?) based on what I've read on people's postings on these games from the internet.

Fatal Frame series - Legendary for scariness.
Siren series - Legendary for unique play mechanics (sightjacking) disturbing and archaic content (some knowledge of Japanese folklore would be useful) and notoriously high difficulty.
Silent Hill 4 - Legendary for most annoying escort mission unless you're playing version 1 which has a certain candle glitch that can offset the annoying consequences of that mission.
