Im currently running ark 4 on my psp, I put it onto my psp correctly but i still get a black screen. anyone know how to fix this issue?

It's hard to answer your question with so little information. I'm not sure if this issue occurs with all your games, just PS1 games, or a specific title. However, here are a few general things you can check:

You might need the popsloader plugin.
If you're using any other plugins, try disabling them, as there could be a conflict.
If you converted the game yourself, try using a different compression.

way i fixed it with sim issue was removing battery holding power down for 10 seconds to fully drain system then leaving for a day

when i re set battery blah it worked normally

other than that maybe re load the os?

I think holding the power button down for 30 seconds will hard reset it, at least as I remember. It's been ages, so I might be wrong

I tried smth pretty similer to that and it didnt work either. I even downgraded my version a few times just to remoding it and get the same results

So, if all the PS1 games do not work, means you have a problem with the PS1 emulator within the PSP.

I believe you're using games in PBP format. If you're sure the firmware was installed correctly, try to change the POPS version and if that does not work try another firmware, like Infinity, and check the results.

Did you convert them yourself?
yes and no. I tried converting it myself and that didn't work so i decided to download someone's else ps1 game that they converted and downloading that didnt work either

Make sure you’ve followed all the installation steps for ARK4 correctly. If that’s fine, there are a couple of things to check. One possibility is an incorrect folder structure, though I’m not sure if the game would show up on the XMB in that case. The correct structure should be:

PSP > GAME > PS1 Game Folder > EBOOT.PBP

Or, it's possible that all the games you’ve tried very coincidentally need POPSLoader to work. There should be a compatibility list, and we can help check if you share the game names. Unless it’s a bunch of games, becuase then that’s probably not the issue.

If none of this works, try using a different compression level or a different program to convert your games and see if that helps.

I did the file directory correctly so i think it might be popsloader, but how do i tell if i have popsloader?

It’s a plugin, so if you haven’t heard of it, you likely don’t have it. It’s easy to find with a quick search. While I doubt that's the issue, let us know what games you’re trying to play so we can check.
