Most useless party member

Stealing life...

View attachment 108811

And the thief was way more useless in the original version but later on they tried to make him useful but it wasn't still "ok" lol. So the thief has relatively higher agility and luck stats. What it means? It's useful to be the person who attacks first, likely to evade attacks and better at running away. However actual deal of the thief is evolving it to a ninja and ninja is very useful and therefore fearsome which is why they banned anything about ninja in the United Kingdom so British people call Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles "Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles"!!! Can't touch a ninja but it touches you plenty!!! lol
A lot of thart makes sense. I suppose in the real world the biggest thieves, are metaphorically, ninjas because you don't initially see them doing it. You don't know who they are individually. They know how to disarm traps because they set them. They know the right time to run away and hide because they cause the conflict.

Bad but don't also drag the rest of the team down:
Forsyth and Atlas in Fire Emblem Echoes
sorry need to make a correction to my earlier post,

I meant to say Forsyth and Jesse here, Atlas is actually one of the best characters in the game. Don't know how i messed that up

Cait Sith
hell no, i im not gonna let you disrespect Chad Sith like that, with his LV2 Limit Break he can literally solo every enemy and boss in the game, hell that is how i easilly beat Emerald Weapon, Ruby Weapon, Diamond Weapon and Ultimate Weapon, all in one turn with only him alive.

so TLDR

her best use to me is getting another lightsaber for your character early on.
i did some looking up on her, and apparently she has a romance storyline with your character, but only if you pick a female character to start the game with. so... that's something, i guess. ::cirnoshrug doesn't really matter if you go dark side at the major choice near the end of the game.
i think i tried using her, but i wasn't too impressed. but in the end; for all intents and purposes, she joins too late when you would have pretty much already settled on your final party set up. there is some cut content for her so maybe she would be better if that had been incorporated.

for me, mullet revan is the only choice. every other revan is a distraction. any romance without mullet revan does not matter.

The Mysidia Twins, Palom and Porom, they are completely usseles they have extremely shit stats and lastly soon after you get Tellah you go up Mt Ordeals and he learns every spell in the game, making them even more usseles. ::beer

i will disagree with this. tellah learns nearly every spell in the game. he does not learn holy. two of his stats go down when he levels up; strength and stamina. strength doesn't matter for a mage, but stamina helps reduce damage, so he will steadily take more and more damage over time when leveling up.
he is permanently stuck with 90 mp. bizzaga, firaga, and thundaga cost 30 mp per use and blizzara, fira, and thundara are 15 mp per use. soma drops are unobatinable until after tellah leaves the party, so you can't bypass that. palom and porom keep getting more and more mp as they level up.
palom and porom also gain more int and spirit respectively than tellah. tellah starts off with 16 points in each and only gains points after level 40 and caps out at 24 in both stats at level 70. palom and porom get to 25 points in their respective stats at level 20. they get even more later on, reaching 75 points at level 70. that's really only useful in the gba and psp ports though.
the only real negative thing that the twins have is that they aren't around long enough for you to get them to super high levels. they will be around level 20 in a normal playthrough and then they are gone.
another positive about them is that they don't hinder your ability to heal them in combat.
like edward.

@HITMAKER_99 Can't quote you because either my browser doesn't work well with the forum or the forum doesn't like this browser. Cait Sith Game Over Limit. Never would have thought that would work with big bosses. I know I would've been tempted to use it against Emerald Weapon many times but glad I didn't. I mean, you get the loot, whatever it was (can't remember) but it takes a huge challenge in the game and turns it into an early slime encounter. Funny how these things, you assume won't work on big bosses actually do, the rare time.

Young me would say Aerith, as soon as I heard she would die, I stripped all her equipment off and would sit there paranoid like "Is it happening? This could happen at ANY MOMENT."
Nowadays I am not afraid to use her because I know when she generally decides to set herself up for death.

Now that I am older and wiser, I would say the most useless party member ever is a heart shaped coaster of a pokemon named Luvdisc. I bet it wouldn't even make a very good frisbee either

well, since pokemon are based off of real animals, there is one thing luvdisc is good for: being food for other pokemon. it's not a glamourous role, but a necessary one. so, it is helpful, from a certain point of view.::smirk1

It'll be worse if luvdisc had no natural predators ans we risk being in a world overtaken by luvdisc.

fortunately, we aren't in that universe.
i looked up luvdisc, and it is a very pathetic pokemon. this is an excerpt from bulbapedia:
"
Luvdisc is a fishlike Pokémon with a relatively flat body in the shape of a heart. It is primarily light pink, with pale lips and circular markings on its cheeks. Its body is covered in heart-shaped scales.

Luvdisc lives in shallow tropical warm seas, where it makes its nest in the branches of Corsola or coral reefs. During its breeding season, it forms groups that turn the ocean's surface bright pink. As shown in Luvdisc is a Many Splendored Thing!, when two Luvdisc kiss, they are able to use their slender bodies as wings in order to fly for short periods of time. If a Luvdisc is left alone, it becomes disheartened and open to attacks from predators, such as Pelipper.

Luvdisc is seen as symbol of love and romance; loving couples gave this Pokémon its name after spotting it in the ocean waters. It is said that any couple who sees a Luvdisc will be blessed with eternal love, thus honeymoon hotels usually release this Pokémon into their pools. A tradition in some places is to gift a Luvdisc to a person someone loves. At one point in the past, Luvdisc was overfished due to a rumor that its scales would allow one to find their sweetheart."

and it's move list has only about 5 moves that can do damage, and only one move, hydro pump, seemed to be an actual noteworthy move.

hopefully none of them get to that level. it would become, a mild annoyance.

i just did some more checking. this full ass evolved pokemon is on par with teddiursa [a baby bear], spoink [a cute bouncing baby pig], and aron, a baby pseudo legendary pokemon.
holy shit. this thing sucked in its debut. here's its move list from gen three:

in gen five it gets hydro pump at lv 40 and currently it gets that move at lv 46. it took 3 generations for this thing to learn 6 attacking moves.
oh my. it keeps getting worse as look up more things. it learns like 2 useful moves by tm, surf and blizzard. it's sp atk is lower than a squirtle's stats at the same level.
the only thing this thing has going for it is speed. it caps out at like 320 max. but that's only if it has perfect ivs, evs and a good nature, otherwise, it's slower than squirtle.
i wonder if squritles eat fish? i kind of want to draw one eating this worthless pokemon.

This useless fuck who is just in the game to be an inferior clone of other party members

Magic users and healers in general. In a lot of rpgs, physical attackers eventually outpace magic users as damage dealers and once you get a strong party healers become irrelevant.

Engineers in Valkyria Chronicles are largely useless outside of a few very specific missions. Scouts are overpowered in most situations, snipers are great for tactical use, and shock troopers and lancers are critical in some missions. Engineers are a waste of space in your squad.

I've been playing this old PC game, The Magic Candle...and it's pretty hard with a billion clues you need to take note of as well as a time limit to finish the game. Definitely no handholding in this game.

You start off recruiting people from the King's castle...then later on, after you've had adventures with your party, you find this other far off place, the Crystal Castle (reminds me of She-Ra) where the recruitable people there are so much better. You'll probably want to drop off most of your party in favor of the new ones and make it feel like you wasted so much time and money developing the starting characters.

fuck mages
all my homies hate mages

Maybe it's just me, but this dude here.I hated his guts in FF13 he was the god-damned worst.

I saw the thread and immediately I thought of him. I haven't played the game since it first came out and don't remember why but I have such a visceral reaction when I think about it.
ff13 is objectively the WORST game in the series. it makes 2, 3, 7, and 8 look like flawless masterpieces in comparison.
nearly everything is terrible. most of the characters suck, the environments are just hallways with different bland flavors, the combat makes mystic quest seem like dark souls, the crystal level up system sucks. the music sucks even more. the story is so nonsensical that no one can tell what happens. its like an early alpha build of chatgpt wrote it.
you are probably protecting yourself by blocking out of your conscious mind.
