Most uncomfortbale controller/gamepad you've used?

Honestly, the the Atari 2600 joystick. I am convinced a SEGA Genesis controller is the definitive way to play 2600 games. Most of the joysticks of that era e.g. ColecoVision and Intellivision are a close second, followed by using the keypad on the jaguar.

Godddd these things were the worst! I remember the relief I felt when I finally got to use the S controller for the console. Finally it was made for human hands! It was durable though, I'll give it that. Haha!

Everything from Nintendo after the SNES. They make the worst console controllers in the industry.
While certain first party games make really good use of them, I'm with you, here. I think all of Nintendo's post-SNES controllers are kind of nightmares. N64, Gamecube, Wii, and Wii U have these bizarro, inconsistent layouts and odd button-naming conventions; I could never remember where any of the gd controls were on those things. The Switch isn't awful, just small and a little flimsy.

Maybe I'm weird for liking the DualShock 2/3/4 lol
No, I'm with you, here! I love the Sony controllers, for the most part. Found something versatile, that worked, and just sorta iterated on it - respect the hustle.

this is a tough one, but ultimately it boils down to either the
- MadCatz GameCube controller, which i feel like has every poor decision possible - weird ridges on the sides where your palms go, the worst plastic ive ever felt, joycons that make me want to cry, wires more fragile than glass
- dualshock 3, i do not have large hands yet this thing still feels impossibly small to use and has since i was a child, with even smaller hands. its bizarre bc dualshock 1 and 2 are so good to me, and the dualshock 4 and dualsense are fantastic.
