It's been some time since I did the large perler portrait of the purple haired anime girl in the bikini, so when I saw a random screenshot for the PSN game "Hentai Princess" I suddenly felt inspired to get crackin' again!

She ain't finished yet. Both sides of strands of her hair along with the background and her shoulders are still missing, but after doing her face and the main portion of her hair I just felt like sharing!

I mean yeah but, you have weird sources for inspiration lol
Well I'm a weird guy, and they do say inspiration comes from the strangest places. Plus, it's a crappy cash grab game (from what I can see) so I may as well put its art assets to better use xD

Holy shit that's huge. I was wondering these days how big could perler beads sprites go and this answers my question

I've been sort of wanting to get into perler beads for a while, I've looked into prices now and thankfully it seems accessible

It can go as big as you want... or as big as you have space for haha.

By all means go for it! It's a great and satisfying feeling of slowly, bead by bead, see your image take form before you, and you get that constant urge of "just one more, just one more" haha.

I don't know about international prices though, but where I live it ain't an expensive hobby, though that depends how big a project you wanna make of course. Bigger image = more beads. The bikini one I made was roughly 30.000 beads, and where I buy mine one bag of 1000 beads of any color is 12DKK (approx. $1.7).
So yeah, if a handful of bags + joint plates seem within your budget, pick out your image and get on it :) I would also recommend getting storage boxes for them.

Haha, thank you! Though I may need esuna more. I never tire, but I do strain both my back and my eyes focusing on these tiny objects and concentrating on putting them the right places in this sea of color.
