MGS1 Help!

I'm currently trying to play through Metal Gear Solid 1. And i'm on the Vulcan Raven fight part 2. Where you are in that freezer area. He keeps f**king killing me! I tried plenty of different strategies [Placing Claymores etc.] Does anybody have any ideas on how to beat him?

Nikita was always my go to.

Nikita Launcher works great, so long as you catch him around corners and don't give him a chance to shoot it down. (I want to say you can get him with claymores too, depending on where they're placed.) C4 works for the same purpose, if I'm remembering right....

...I'm going to wind up playing it now that I'm remembering all this.

Yeah, claymores and missiles are the way to go, and just keep avoiding his line of sight
There's no secret to it

Yeah they're cool... Until you unintentionally step on one ROFL. Learned that the hard way

You'll probably have a hard time hitting him with all the containers around.

Just stick with the Nikita and set some Claymores around and you'll beat him eventually.

Nikita up the ass, you can use stinger and grenades too

Go to 1:03 to avoid possible spoilers
But basically, find a vent, slip in backwards, look up by holding triangle, then release both up and triangle and quickly press X. If done right, Snake just clips thru the wall and you can do whatever you want from there, lol.

I whooped his ass with the Nikita SOCOM combo. You'll get him, just keep trying, he's one of the harder fights.
