MetalHeart: Replicants Rampage is what you get when "You have Fallout at home"! Explore wastelands, converse with people for quests and try to survive in this barren broken world. This game has been patched to the latest version as well. Don't forget to read the Read Me included so you can fix one of the portrait issues! Enjoy!

Thank you for the lovely comment! ::heart

You are welcome!

Your welcome and yep! Fallout at home :P

That is very kind but I can't accept money. I'm doing it for the love of the game and to hopefully make people happy! If people are enjoying obscure goodness, and games on here in general, then I am happy!

Considering I see gaming as art, its a win!::biggrin

I haven't heard of a single one of these and that's exciting.
There's a lot of obscure stuff out there that never got a fair shake, and I've made it one of my life's missions to seek out the bottom of the iceberg stuff and play it to honor the work that the developers put into them.

The handful of people who may have heard of some of those limited releases may consider them janky and just not worth playing overall because they may not have been as good as AAA titles with massive budgets, but I look at those projects with great reverence. For at least a brief time a game like MetalHeart: Replicants Rampage for instance was someone's baby, and they took great pride in making it.

Sure, they'll never know that I played it and loved it, but in some way I like to think that the energy that I put into experiencing it stretches out across the ether to grace them somehow as a thank you for their efforts.

That's why I'm so thankful that Alma is putting in the effort to fix and upload games like this. Their effort in getting them exposure helps further my silly little personal mission along.

This has been near the top of my wishlist for years. It's been so difficult to get it to run and the patching has been super sketchy in my experience, so I've never been able to play it. You're an absolute legend!

Are you taking requests? If so, I'd love to see any (or all?) of these here and functional. In no order, they're

Damn, I could really forget this game still exist. I remember I played this game with friend of mine.
I hope you can rediscover it and enjoy it then!
Looks like another old-school, obscure banger I gotta at least try.
Thankyou so much once again @AlmaElma123

A fallout's clone with good looking scenarios. Thanks for this. ::thumbsupwario

Alma, have you considered setting up a Ko-fi account? It's a relatively low-impact way to accept donations from people without pressuring them. I'm sure there are others like me who would love to donate to thank you for your efforts.

  • The Banished
  • Mistmare
  • Another War
  • Shadow Vault
  • Vampire Hunters
  • Archangel
  • Dragonfire: The Well of Souls
  • Anito- Defend the Land Enraged
  • World of Chaos
  • Paradise Cracked
  • Dark Secrets of Africa
  • Morning's Wrath
  • Blind Justice
  • Icarus, Sanctuary of the Gods
  • Gorasul: Legacy of the Dragon
Thank you! ::biggrin

Yes, the game worked for the most part but chugged and lagged SO much but I ended up finding some files that fixed it. The portraits also didn't work and I had to find the weird player they used to make it work since the .exe of it seemed to be baked into the setup file itself and not separate so that was fun ::sailor-embarrassed

Thank you for the requests! Ill add it to my list. I have A LOT of games I want to try to get on here!

Funny, with your other windows release of Sabotain, i was thinking someone needs to figure out how to get MetalHeart running. I own a copy that i nabbed a few years ago and tried getting it running last year. Couldn't get it full screen and there was some serious lag... maybe this will work out better.
Voice acting and dialogue are horrendous... but the pre-rendered stuff looks really good. Played up to the first town you come across but never got any further. Manual sucks at explaining stats and what anything does. So yeah, it didn't get much time to be properly translated and given any polish.
I tried on this computer, my laptop and a friends computer. I seemed to have nailed down all the issues with lag, resolution and hopfullly other issues.

As I say in the readme, just dont change the resolution in game too much because that completely screws up the game. It worked like 2 times then the 3rd time it just bricked the game so its not a perfect conversion I guess BUT its the best I could do.

Quality wise ya I hear this one is a bit of a slog but the starting area wasn't the worst thing in the world. Maybe it gets worse like how Lionheart was amazing at the start then devolved to bleh when they ran outa money from chapter 2 on.

Oh, next should be The Fall: Last Days of Gaia... a better 'We have Fallout at home' heh

Didn't know this existed, looks great. Something to fill the void until a new fallout games comes out.
Ya I was having some fun with it! I added it to my backlog. A more action oriented Fallout clone may have some fun waiting inside!
