"Bastard!!: Dark God of Destruction" (quoted as to not be misconstrued as random slur) always comes back to my mind.

As far as I know, at least, it's been stalled for decades now. It's not groundbreaking or anything but I always loved the haughty, powerful and condescending protagonist that basically has the power to destroy the world on command but still ends up getting roped into situations he didn't ask for, becoming something of a begruding anti-hero.

It is also, all at once, cozy/heartwarming and sexually charged, which is not a combination that generally works in even balance, but here I feel it honestly does. Maybe it's just my darker side projecting/power tripping, but hey.

I really wish this one would get finished.

Bastard!!!!

I need more Dark Schneider in my life.

Surely! that one at least has been in good hands with Kentaro Miura's blessing, so it will eventually be finished, at least that's my hope.
True enough. Still feels weird to me that it's no longer Miura himself though.

It certainly is, but with his passing there's little else that could be done, sadly.

To give an actual answer - I'd love Hunter X Hunter to actually get back into a consistent swing of things. I need a satisfying dose of that unpredictable writing.

100% agreed. As much as I like YYH, Hunter x Hunter always felt like a much more well rounded corpus of work. I'd love to see it to its conclusion.

Vagabond. Not that it matters much for me since I'm nowhere near caught up on it. But I know many would like to see it continued soon.

I never actually read Vagabond, but the art in it was one of the major factors in my becoming an illustrator for a couple years. Friggin' amazing use of hatching. I should read it at some point.

I was gonna say "Aikagi-kun to Shiawase Gohan", because it very rarely got updates... but I just checked back and it was completed five months ago lol

What is it about?
It's a bit tough to describe (trust me, the official description is BS), but it's basically a boy and a girl who share a ton of meals together, sometimes over the phone while he's on the road. It's really original and sweet.

It does sound super sweet and cozy. It will either give hearbroken people hope or fill them with envy LOL.
I admit I was often on the envy side when I watched/read anime/manga with such themes.

Terra Formars:
Humans with animal/insects powers fighting muscular Cockroaches in mars. The manga has been in hiatus since 2017-18

I don't know this one; is it about a wandering samurai? those always tend to make for good stories.
If you like Berserk you'll probably like it. It's very loosely based on the life of the legendary swordsman Miyamoto Musashi. Like Berserk, it has absolutely awe-inspiring artwork, a focus on the protagonist's character growth, and some similar philosophical ruminations along the way. But yeah, it's sadly been on hiatus for almost ten years now.

Ah, what an incredible recommendation, thank you!

Nana is the one off the top of my head. Hasn't been updated since 2009. The mangaka, Ai Yazawa, has recently started drawing again, so I hope she'll get to finish it one day.

Nana not having a real ending is pretty fitting for its story. Sometimes you just don't get closure on the things that you love. But I still want it.

Yeah, me too.

That's why I avoided them altogether and didn't even read my first one til my 24th birthday.

A lot of the stuff I read is fan translated, so I'm not sure in most cases if a series has just stopped, or if the team hasn't had time to translate. It's always a nice surprise when something I was following, pops back up.

CLAMP is kinda popular from having stuff in limbo
X-1999 and Gate 7 comes to mind

Nanas one of the few shows where I was actually invested in enough to follow up with the manga afterwards, & you get a great amount of story out of it but man! They're not kidding when they say you end up with more questions than answers. One can only hope.

or if the team hasn't had time to translate
This is the part which sucks most of the time; the dropped, untranslated stuff. As a huge Kouji Kumeta fan (since Shaft apadaptions), 90% of his stuff have been translated & adapted to some degree but then you get missed/dropped opportunities like Nankuru Neesan. It's a personal beef.

I'd hope one day for a Oishinbo continuation, an excellent gourmet manga. But it'll be very unlikely to happen since the Fukushima's chapters scandal...
