I've been fixated on it for a little while now. Majora's Mask.
It was a game I utterly OBSESSED over when I was a kid. The development process, the easter eggs, the side quests, the theories, the creepypasta.
This game was more addictive than crack when I was young, and so I'd just like to see anyone else with like-minded fondness for the game!

My favorite part is easily everything revolving Romani Ranch. The final night. Cremia getting Romani drunk and sleeping together with her for their last day alive, how they both mean very, VERY different things when they say "see you tomorrow." It's bittersweet in the best possible way imaginable. It's something I don't think I truly understood as a dumb child. But looking back, whoever created that plotline was a genius of their time!
And, my favorite mask is... the Kafei mask! I dunno why. Was always just interesting to me.

Very special game to me and a lot of people. It's actually hard to put into words, very otherworldly vibes. Shoutout to one of my all time favourite compositions, the Astral Observatory theme, perfect little microcosm of the themes in the game. It's beautiful but very melancholic.

One of the few games I pre-ordered. The most hyped game in my gaming life.

I remember a Goron dungeon caused some struggle. The countdown clock ticking, the wonky control stick, trying to launch a series of Goron rolls over jumps to to pass a gap. Leaving the game paused on my 64 so I could relax my stressed hands. I was deeply invested in completing this challenging game (and not using a guide).

I did complete the game.

Have not replayed it. The 3DS version messed up a few things. The deku bouncing on water movement is different. I threw that 3DS game in the fire pit. How could they change the fundamental movement of the character and make it worse? It's a bad bad bad port. Even if the graphics are eye candy.

I absolutely love the atmosphere and art direction of Majora's Mask, by far my favorite Zelda game of all time, I have a very strong emotional attachment to this game.

Anju & Kafei is by far my favorite sidequest in the Zelda series, and I cried when I finished it.

This was the second game I emulated on Project 64 (I think)

A few years later I gave it another go and finished the game, but I didn't do most of the sidequests.

Thinking about doing it again but for real this time. I'm considering if I should try on real hardware this time, since now I have a flashcart at my disposal.

(I'm aware of the decomp/recomp and HD texture pack)

I absolutely love the final boss of this game, possibly one of the most unique bosses in the Zelda series.

I love how Majora’s incarnation is just a comedic phase before he goes into wrath. Especially his little dances he does. I like to imagine him doing the “heee heee” as he moonwalks around.

this game is my personal favorite of all zelda game in my personal opinion a nightmarish fever dream about frustration, emotion, accepting the fate of death, acceptance about being different and love, and the game that traumatized me when i was a child, damn poor link anything he goes through is a depressing nightmare and took it as a champ.

I love the game and I love it more than Ocarina of time since it was more challenging.
I love every part of it, my favorite are Zora story since I find it sad and I have plans to play it on Azahar emulator since I don`t own a 3DS anymore.

i remember the two things that really got me into majoras mask as a kid were Chuggaaconroy's lets play, and PeanutButterGamer's mask collection videos. that shit was like crack to me, i'd watch n rewatch them over n over.

i also didn't have the game on wii vc or n64 as a kid, instead i played it on an emulator with a keyboard cuz i didnt have any kind of controller to plug into my computer. i think it was a super old version of project 64, the one with the blue and red logo, and i messed around with cheat codes a LOT. i remember staying home sick from school one day and just messing around with moon jump in clock town, and somehow accidentally getting myself to the top of the clock tower on the second day, way before you're supposed to. i think i also softlocked myself several times by using the giant's mask outside of twinmold... and i'd have to restart the whole game, since i didn't understand the concept of save states. i was a pretty dumb kid, i'll admit.

Two years ago my wife died of cancer. I had a very hard time afterwards. One of the things I did during that time was play Majora's Mask. I found it unpleasant and difficult at first because of the dark themes but sticking with it really helped me process my grief.

If I were to describe it, the sense of impending doom and fighting back against it really meant something, as well as all the different characters going about their business, and how creative and interesting the game is. The moon is a powerful symbol.
