Sorry, but that can't be done. .hdm files are floppy disk images (like .fdi but a different extension) and .hdi are harddisk images. Even if you were to extract and repack the files into a .hdi as a way of converting it it wouldn't work since the game is designed to be read from the floppy drives instead of the hard drive. If the game offered a way to install the game to hard drive storage then maybe, but I don't think it does.
This is correct, at this point I believe that all games that support hard drive installation have been ripped as .hdi

There are just some games that were made to read from floppy only and have to be ran as such.

hey bro, add .hdi files please, is more easy and fast to execute

For those who don't know: this is the bloodier version of Madou Monogatari. The original versions had the same cutesy style as Puyo Puyo would have, while the PC-98 version was a lot grittier and rather odd looking at times. The PC-98 version is a well known exception and often dominates a lot of the conversation about Madou Monogatari since the MSX isn't nearly as popular a computer. This led to a lot of misinformation that's been cleared up a bit in the coming years.

This version was also the first to have the pretty consistent normal battle theme that consistently played across most Madou Monogatari games going forward until the Sega Saturn version. You'll also occasionally notice a couple songs from Puyo Puyo are also in the soundtracks as the original Madou Monogatari are where some of these originated (the first and probably most obvious you'll notice is Memories of Puyo Puyo/Try Out, which played for the first 10 floors or so)

It's like I'm a tour guide for a dungeon crawler lmao
And a good tour guide at that. I'm tempted to leave a tip lol

While randomly starting MAME games i came across Puyo Puyo Sun a few years ago. Loved the characters.
Was pleasantly surprised to find out that there was a dungeon crawler! Hope all the games get translated, my most anticipated translation of all time is Madou Monogatari for Sega Saturn!

The Monogatari series, funny how most people don't realize that Puyo Puyo is a spinoff series.
Batankyu!! Madou Monogatari (Sorcery Saga) was lowkey Compile's best series, but then Sega took hold of it and dropped it in favor for the spin-off arcade-y puzzle Puyo Puyo series instead. I love both series, but wish that Sorcery Saga was better handled. They made a new reboot recently but it's a very mid and disappointing game that doesn't have Arle or any of the other major characters from the series
