Man I miss games that have graphics like this compared to realistic games nowadays that are soulless.
It's either a cell phone game style, that realistic like look with the yellow paint, or the fortnite look with the weird colors. I want to appreciate the "pixel art" style, but sometimes, it just feels like it doesn't belong.

now if only this had the 2 player mode where you play has weegee the green goop version of luigi.... that's in the 3DS port and i heard that port was trash.
I believe his name is Gooigi but I was thinking the same, I dunno if such a mod is possible though but one can dream.

issue with this mod:
when playing on Mirror Mode, the GameBoyHorror's map does not accommodate for this like it is supposed to do in the PAL release.
otherwise this is a fun mod for now as someone who's played this game an ungodly amount of times.

editing this post to report that none of these 'new features' seem to be really working outside of some select items, were they only made accessible for people who play in the original NTSC difficulty? i did not encounter the new chef ghost, nor the new kind of ghost shown in the screenshots.

how come file size is so small? the original rom is something like 1.3gb
Luigi's Mansion was always around 100 mb, the 1.3 gb is the uncompressed file, it's a similar case for Wario World, back in the day I burned a DVD for Wii (during the Wii Gator days long before Nintendont and even Dios Mios) and made multi disc DVDs with games like Luigi's Mansion, Wario World, Dance Dance Revolution Mario Mix, Paper Mario TYD and Mario Kart Double Dash using like one DVD, and the Mario Party Quadrilogy using another DVD.

Yes, it works perfectly on Wii, you can even download the custom cover art from Wiiflow

No, that's fine. GLME01 is the original unmodified game.
Search for GLME05 on wiitdb and you'll see that it's perfectly fine.
GLME01 is the original game ID, GLME05 is the modified game ID, while technically it acts as an updated official version, having both versions in your games list could mix the two in Nintendont, while I do believe game ID no longer matters in Nintendont like it used to, as someone who was involved during its conception helping with testing and updates I remember the game ID was once essential, heck I remember the days you had to create a separate .dol file for each game, though that was during Dios Mios days I believe, regardless I believe the game ID needs to be updated.

Ah... so just to be clear for us pedestrian folk - does that mean it isn't working on Wii Hardware?

He is referring to real hardware, I have not tested it yet to confirm but I hope this does work on real hardware because I do not like to play on PC.

These are my favorite kinds of hacks, while I also like hacks that try to create something original, I prefer hacks that aim to improve the core game and add more content and quality of life improvements making it the best experience of an already excellent game.

I will have to test and confirm later, will get back to ya (unless you beat me to it).

Tested on Wii U via Nintendont.

Also for @Spike on my Wii U it shows the game ID as GLME05 not GLME01 maybe you wanna fix that.

Make sure to turn off "Force Widescreen" and "Progressive Screen Mode" in the Nintendont settings if the game isn't loading after the first cut-scene starting a new game. For me it looked liked a bunch of numbers and letters.

try dolphin, it is the gamecube and wii emulator

A true labour of love, and one of the best ways now to experience this delightful title. All the bells and whistles, add on to make something which doesn't take away but just adds and adds and adss, onto the original to make it the best form of it's self, and a true showing of the skill those who go into making this addition mods!

One of my favorite games when buying the Gamecube. Played it over 45 times already. My one problem that I wish this version had was to not lose your coins when getting hit.

This was a suprise gift from my uncle on my birthday and he got me three games luigis mansion, ssb mellee and the zelda collection with the horrible port of majoras mask. best birthday ever.
The free horrible port? I had that, and i wish i kept it. It's worth a lot of money now.

When the GC launched, this was the first game i got for it, and i loved it ever since. I got all of them right as they came out.

What a spooky treat, fans do what Nintendo... would never bother to do.

Lindo juego y se agradece el aporte. Lastima que no conozco casi nada del luigi mansion
