You're kidding me right? Your character is just a shadow? It's like yeah I'm gonna make a video game but I'm too tired to do the textures I think I'm just gonna go get a 6-pack of beer. To be fair though it actually looks interesting but it looks like you're behind the action.

Overall a very obscure gem that people who played ICO will find many familiar elements in it, especially in terms of gameplay, unfortunately there is no spoken dialogue though in my opinion that's less of an issue.

So, an unofficial Peter Pan game?
A spin-off telling the origin of his shadow (and revealing that Peter didn't have a shadow before finding it either) 🤭

Making the shadow cast in the environment work was the most time-consuming part of development, so the textures didn't receive as much attention for that reason.

Fun Fact: this game came out the day after Limbo was released.

Oh my God I remember this game! I had this idea of a game about silhouettes or shadows that was a side-scrolling platformer then this came around and blew it up in my face
It could have been Contrast, too.

Never played it when it came out, but I always wanted to. Will give it a try, so thanks for sharing.

This game made me realize that OG Hudson Soft was dead: a Metroidvania with an indie aesthetic and dark plot, but with a gameplay loop too weak to maintain interest.
