Just in case, would you like to check out some third-party frameworks that can turn any game into a “solo-friendly” experience? Probably the best-known of these systems is the Mythic Game Master Emulator (currently at version 2), which is quite extensive on its own (don’t be intimidated by the thick book - a significant portion of it consists of illustrations and examples), and if that’s not enough, there are always around 50+ different add-ons and expansions (Tana releases them about once a month). You can literally get lost among them. It’s a really cool framework, with a ton of mechanics and tables. But because of that, it’s a bit… overwhelming? And I’d recommend starting with something simpler. My personal favorite is TREY Solo Roleplaying (also a pretty big book, but half of it is a detailed example of an adventure), with fairly simple and user-friendly mechanics.
On the other hand, some popular systems have dedicated solo modes, both official ones and those written by enthusiasts. Alien, Savage Worlds, Vampire: The Masquerade, Traveler, Call of Cthulhu, etc.
