Didn't some emulator or Retroarch core get completely dropped just because one crazy person kept spamming issues about it on it's github? Wtf is wrong with peopleIt's genuinely depressing how yet another project gets screwed up by unnecessary internet drama over things from many years ago, specially one that just looked so promising, feels bad man
Even if the project continues, it definitely won't be the same, just shame :((((
i mean it was just a proof of concept, they didnt even make a prototype. Actual ideas guyIt's genuinely depressing how yet another project gets screwed up by unnecessary internet drama over things from many years ago, specially one that just looked so promising, feels bad man

Eh, they were saying unhinged shit, I'd say this was justified.s genuinely depressing how yet another project gets screwed up by unnecessary internet drama over things from many years ago, specially one that just looked so promising, feels bad man
Wait, what did I miss? Is the project literally dead already?UPDATE: it seems iisu got into bit of drama sigh, the main lead designer stepped down since all the drama was linked to him, i think people blew the drama out of proportion tbh and dug up 6 year old msgs that have no weight tday what so ever, the project will continue but idk man, Usagi was the ambisous one, it feels like the soul left the project, i still want it to get out there and have another option, i see a lot of you saying retroarch already exist and ill be honest, i kinda hate retroarch because their way of doing things, also iisu being its on platform with its own store to sell indie games will make a big impact and help smaller developers get their games out there
Oh, ok, thanks for clearing that up, I really didn’t know what like, actually happened tbhSee, this is why Batocera and by extension RetroArch win out in the end....
There is no social aspect to them aside from help forums. I don't know if any of the people who work on either use their real names or accounts, but as far as I am aware, there has been no big drama with them.
This front end was aimed at a younger demographic the way it was set up, and that's fine.
That's not the problem I kind of saw looming in the background. What I saw was, think of all the games targeted at younger kids, not for some nefarious reasons, but they are. And think how many of them have had a lot of creepy adults trying to get kids and teens into private chats for really bad reasons.
I don't know, it just seems like this going down in flames might have been for the best.
Now I am not saying this would have happened, but it very likely would have.... because creepy adult predators always cling to anything that has a kid audience, like flies on a bloated corpse.
Because of the point system it was going to implement, I would assume a gifting system would have been in place, much like Steam has. And you take a very manipulative adult who starts off really friendly or posing as a kid of whatever age and "Yeah Timmy send me pics and I'll send you mine" which they could have yanked off the net from a plethora of sites or Facebook, social media sites, and it just snowballs from there.
Not saying this would have happened, but to quote that old meme "It's more likely than you think."

From what I understand, that's not what was going on....Oh, ok, thanks for clearing that up, I really didn’t know what like, actually happened tbh
To be frank i wouldn't say "inch"... but more like this:From what I understand, that's not what was going on....
No, this is just how I see this frontend going if it had made it or makes it to distribution. There's always that weird creepy element when you have social interactions because someone says they are a kid of a certain age, but it doesn't mean they are. And there are adults who are absolute sickos who will do this and try to tempt kids into... well, I'm not going into detail, but you get what I mean.
Sadly, some kids are dumb enough to fall for it. Most kids in the tween to teen age bracket are fairly naive and dumb, present company excluded Kid-o.
They don't realize that people will outright lie to them to get lewd or worse images of them. It's a sad fact and a harsh reality of the world, but that's how it is. I don't think any kind of frontend should have social interactions outside forums that, if kids are allowed on, should be heavily monitored.
Again, not every adult is some sex fiend predator, but they are out there.
And I for one... and i bet pretty much everyone on this Forum... think every one of those sick fucks needs their ass beaten within an inch of their lives.
