Rugrats, adventures in Gameland (NES)

Besides being a great game, it looks amazing.

Here are some Homebrew games available on itch.io :

- Nyanja! (PCE CD)
- Hololore: Amethyst (GBC)
- Hololore (GBC)
- The Last of Us: Between The Years (GB)
- Geometry Dash PSP (PSP)
- 2021: Moon Escape (GB)
- Friday The 13th: Return To Camp Blood (NES)
- Halloween: October 31st (NES)
- Candyman: Be My Victim (NES)
- A Nightmare on Elm Street: Son of a Hundred Maniacs (NES)
- The Arm Wrestling Classic (NES)
- Plummet Challenge Game (NES)
- Carpet Shark (NES)

These games work on emulators but I don't know if the game works on the physical console.

well not on nes i mean im suggesting an idea for a nes homebrew of that game

Great thread idea! There are so many demos, prototypes, and full games that work on real hardware that are on Itch.io. Here are some I found, mixed in with some of my favorite games.

NYOP = Name Your Own Price

IMPORTANT ROM!
Mostly Genesis
NES

it has the perfect visual style of a nes game! It's strange nobody did it yet, right?
yep plus i dont know if anyone on this forum could do it or not and plus there does exists an nes soundtrack of this game all that needs to be made are the games visuals art and sound effects and etc for whoever does the homebrew nes port of this game oo and even add in the dialouge for certain parts like for hey you moved my stump im gonna wreck it and fix it felix and i can fix it well digitized in the same stylings like in bible buffet from wisdom tree on how they did digitized speech

I usually check out what releases are coming along on amiga and c64, my fav recent release is Tale of Evil - you can get it in different formats, i am running it on thec64maxi

Just want to say that last night I finished two games suggested here:

Opossum Country and The Melting Apartment. Both are short and simple horror games, and I love experimentarions on this genre on retro consoles. They are not inventive in their mechanics, but they flirt a bit with a point-and-click narrative and know very well how to build up an eerie mood! If you also have one of those retro handhelds, I'd highly recommend to play them in your bed time, before sleep.

Kubo 3, its a game made by a kid and his dad. It's obviously very janky but its extremely charming. A lot of It's design choices interest me as someone who also designed games as a kid.

Check out Ben Jelter's other games. The Machine is a quick game with a surprising amount of choices and endings and Specimen 134 is much like Opossum County, but much longer and more in depth.

Literally so many, it's not even funny..
I'll be back to post once I finish sorting and listing them. Times like this are when I regret deleting Samsung Notes to make room for ROMs.. ?

Does anyone know if the rom of Paprium, a recent beat'em up for Sega Genesis, is available online?
No, the cartridge has custom chips to power the game which no emulator can emulate. They also covered the chips with a bunch of epoxy to prevent reverse engineering.
