I meaaaaaaaan some games literally are designed with it in mind to be competitive like Puyo Puyo or Tetris like I would imagine a Puyo Puyo match would be HORRIBLE when you can't even see your opponent screen and thus you don't know when an attack is coming so you counter it

Used to play Goldeneye with groups of friends, and no one gave a damn. It's part of the game. Everyone screen peaks a little bit and because everyone is using it to their advantage, it evens out. Sometimes we would agree to not screen peak, but it's pretty hard to not to it a little (especially with 4 players), and it's hard to enforce.

There was one guy in college that made a cardboard divider so that people couldn't screen peak. Of course, on a tiny CRT in a tiny dorm, the angles were pretty hard. No one liked the guy anyway, because it's stupid. You're messing around with the big head cheat on, we don't need to get all serious.
