is Nintendo switch 2 worth it

Videos like these are stupid. I barely watch videos that announce any news from Youtubers because of their disgusting clickbait insistency. Switch 2 Screen Issues, what does that mean?
I don't know if the video is stupid but the complain about it certainly is. Don't like it, don't watch it - ignore it. If you would have done it though you would have understand that it is related to consoles sold by GameStop, damaged.

Exactly. How the sentence "Switch 2 screen issues" means "Switch 2 screens are getting stappled at Gamestop"? that's why I despise most of Youtube videos.

This. This has always been my policy in regards to consoles and actually any new kind of tech. Being an early adopter is asking for trouble.
Yes, better wait because I'm sure the device is still full of errors. Nintendo will now have to release some updates to ensure everything runs smoothly. That was the case with the first Switch too.

With that cash you're better off upgrading PC hardware or spending it on something useful

I have it. Pretty much every Switch 1 game I have has either a performance boost, up scaling or both. The amount of garbage posts, influencer videos, and articles on the internet are just static. People get paid for clicks.

A guy interacted with me at Walmart telling me he wasn't getting one because it didn't play physical cartridges. I corrected him as that was my main reason to purchase one. I have a large backlog of games.

Yes that will includes the Switch 2 within the next 12 months considering how current Switch emulation is efficient and stable.
I love my Steam Deck but you're overselling this situation. Many Switch games don't emulate well on it, many also don't emulate well on much stronger hardware and Switch 2 has hardware much more powerful than the original so the situation would only worsen. Of course emulation will eventually happen, however not only will it not be soon but it'll also be terrible to try on the Steam Deck.

It is the reality that if you want current Nintendo games you have to buy into their hardware. I'm personally a "patient gamer" so this is not an issue for me, I'm fine waiting for things to get cheap, but I can understand why people would go for it. So if new Nintendo releases is all you want then I guess it's worth it, there's just no choice.

TLDR down below if you don't want to read.

Look, I honestly believe that it's not a purchase that's worth it. Even if you have the money, you may not get the value. Something at that price point with what's being offered doesn't add up. It really just looks like what the Switch OLED should have been. That, and the fact that you have to pay a price to use a button on the controller to chat in-game. A little ridiculous this day and age even if you don't use it. You can get a lot more bang for your buck by purchasing a Switch to Mod it via Mig Switch or the 256GB Steam Deck.

Also, knowing that Nintendo intentionally put the initial price of the Switch 2 out before the tariffs just so that they can blame the tariffs and be bereft of any blame is slimey to me as well. Keep in mind, this isn't the only time Nintendo has done something like this. We can go back to the 3DS to where that wasn't so fairly priced and then they switch up by releasing the 2DS and saying that all who bought the original were to be apart of some "Ambassador Program" to try and put the band-aid on. That's just one example.

The Game Key Cards are just a big no from me big dawg. Maybe it's my own bias of being a physical copy collector, but the fact that these companies (on the low) are trying to push more for not having physical releases from games are problematic. There's nothing on that card that you can use. It's basically a middle man to the database for you to download from. F*** that. Also, a lot of those launch titles you can already play pretty damn well on another console or handheld PC and most likely already have.

If you're still interested then I would say to give it a year to a year and a half to see where things are, cause right now I don't think it's going so well. I'm not a Nintendo hater at all but I will ALWAYS call bullshit out when I see it. I suppose that's why I'm an enjoyer of these companies, but not a fan. It's best to keep the rose-tinted glasses off.

TLDR; Nah man, just wait a year to a year and a half. There are better options for you. But who am I? Just a man with Carl Aznable as his pfp.

I will continue asking to the people who bought Switch 2. What is your opinion on game-key cards? also, what do you think when the game is released physically on Switch but as a game-key card on Switch 2? will I get the answer this time? :O

I would probably be upgrading to a gaming PC eventually and spending twice the amount of the switch for a friend who owns a shop to build it

You know what's bad? I think I'd say yes. Seems like the Switch 1 stuff runs better, and they do have some cool stuff coming. For me? No. Metroid Prime 4 is gonna be on Switch 1, so I'll wait for that version. Yakuza 0 DC is coming to PC later as well, so the two games I care about will be playable without it.

Steamdeck is not going to emulate Switch 2, not now not in 5 years, sorry to spoil the news :(

Nevertheless, Switch 2 is an expensive paperweight right now, so it is too early to ask that question.
I mean, the Switch 2 is essentially a 5 year old Android phone, performance wise. I think Switch 2 emulation would be fairly easy to pull off.

bugs bunny is making a funny face with the words hard no behind him .
