Is it worth to buy a ps3 if...?

It's too long to write in the title so I'll put it here.
I already have a psvita (with adrenaline), a 3ds (with twilight), and a Switch on which I prefer to buy physical but I could also buy digital if I find something I really want to play. I also have a pc on which I can use the ps2 emu.

I saw an used ps3 in a second-hand market, very cheap, and from the online guides it seems it can be hacked, though it doesn't sound so simple as the handhelds.

Question: having all those other consoles, is it worth to buy a ps3? Many ps3 titles have been ported on psvita (ex. Atelier, Neptunia) or on Switch (ex. Assassin's Creed Ezio trilogy); I have already had an used and cheap xbox360 just to play "FF13" and "Eternal Sonata". Are there exclusive ps3 titles that you would recommend me to play, or I'm more than ok already and I'm not missing anything important?

In my opinion, no, it is not wrong. Especially if ps3 isn’t region locked. If some games aren’t on your region, you can still make multiple accounts, or jailbreak your ps3 to have emulation on it.

On ps3, you’ll also natively run a lot of difficult-to-emulate ps3-exclusives, such as RGG Kenzan and many niche Japanese titles.

It’ll also give you better versions of games that have bad pc ports, like Dynasty Warriors 7.

DualShock 3 is also a really good controller, you can even plug in DualShock 4 if you want, I like that one too.

There’s other games stuck on ps3, like inFamous, 3D Dot Hero, Ratchet and Clank, some musou games (like Fist of the North Star: Ken’s Rage) and even stuff like Naruto Ninja Storm Generations.

Its always worth buying a Ps3 its a pretty good console.You could get the Last of Us on it Dead Space is also good oh ya and then there is Tales of Xillia 1 & 2 Uncharted is also good especially the second game, besides ther probably enough hidden gems on that console that I can't remember.You also could look for a Xbox 360 S instead as it could be cheaper in regards of games but if you like Frre online multiplayer get the Ps3

The IMO here and why I never bought an PS3 is it doesn't have a significant library. Besides Metal Gear Solid 4 that is hard to emulate and actually play in a decent way without issues unless you got used to emulator gaming I don't think there would be any reason to buy PS3 to play other PS3 games. Most of its library among decent games are already on another platforms but if you don't pick food you can find many playable PS3 game on it but then IDK perhaps you can play them on emulator anyway. Even on one of my shitty PC years ago PS3 emulator RPCS3 provided playable experiences to many games I was interested how the gameplay is.

Since you already have an XBOX 360 at home, except Sony games we can even generalize whatever decent games on PS3 are probably already released on XBOX 360 with a few exceptions.

As for decent PS3 exclusive game list:

- Metal Gear Solid 4

- Folklore

- MotorStorm Series

And that's all about it lolol.

Yeah I gotta agree with @qw90700 here, if you don't want play these 3 games or maybe Yakuza: Dead Souls there's not much reason behind a PS3 with your current setup.

That said, a PS3 (of the right model) is quite easy to hack and you can then install stuff like PKGi and just download games directly to the machine pretty easily, so if there's a bunch of other unported cross-platform titles you want to play and you can get a machine cheap then it might be worth considering.

Forgot to say: I can't emulate ps3 games on my pc (must be shittier than yours!), so it's buying console (and maybe hacking it / or not hacking and buying some exclusives physical if they're not too expensive) or just let it go and going on with the consoles I already have.
I also would not play Japanese titles, but only English-released games.
I don't have the xbox anymore because I was only interested in playing ff13 and eternal sonata, i did (bought them cheap on ebay) and then I re-sold the console without regrets.
I don't care about multiplayer, I'm ok with single player games.

Thing is, I saw this ps3 at 30€ (fat model) and 50 (a newer model but still hacking), the 30 price tag seems quite low to me for a console - that's what I spent to buy the xbox360, and that's why I was curious and asked around here.

Yeah, it's cheap to find, very easy to mod and it's totally worth it
While its true bunch of ps3 games were ported to vita
Those ports are okay at best and barely functional at worse, most notably Re Revelation 2 and Jack and Dexter collection

If you already have modded 360 than there is a little less value in ps3, but its still worth it if you ask me, both modded ps3 and 360 still worth it
Also it's funny that you bought xbox to play FF13 since it's one of those games to look and run better on ps3

If you can't get a Japanese one (CECHA00) better get Americano one (CECHA01) or CECHBXX but these consoles are technically rubbish due to very easy to die from yellow light of death and that's part of why I never bought a PS3. Only decent PS3 models to play PS2 games on are actually suck AF due to other reasons and Sony didn't care to release a decent PS3 with decent PS2 backwards compatibility. I may sacrifice PS2 compability because I already have a PS2 at home so I would go for safest PS3 that is Slim CECH-21XX and certain Slim CECH-25XX that allows decent modding, otherwise wouldn't pay a shit to any other PS3.

Even just for God of War 3 its worth it. Also there's Uncharted, Killzone, Resistance, inFamous series too. You can also check some cool but forgotten games like Binary Domain, Vanquish, The Saboteur, Nier, Splatterhouse, etc.

I didn't want to buy it online: when I saw the xbox in that same secondhand market last year at that price I went with that, there were no ps3 back then: I played FF13 100% and I thought it totally looked and run awesome, even if it's a 15 year-old game, maybe on ps3 it's even better but still I've been really happy with what I've had :)

Because 3DS had a weird weakness to play pirated DS games. You play the Twilight movie on 3DS, so while it plays you run a pirated DS game rom and the game runs without any issue!!! lolol

Definitely worth it. It's also very easy to hack. Just make sure to throw in a 1TB HDD from the start or else you'll have to redo the softmod if you want to install a larger HDD. I still think 1TB is the largest internal HDD that you can use (or maybe a 2TB, however it'll only use 1.5TB of it).
