Is it okay to post drawings made with pencil and paper instead of digitally on the internet?

Yeah... basically what @NobodyHere said. If you wanted a real answer, it's because it's simply err, simpler. Normally you'd have to ink & scan your drawing first for good results, which is fine, but that also means you need to physically buy all the tools. It just kinda skips all that.

Hearing your comment was actually a first for me, so kinda made a joke out of it. But pencil & paper is probably the purest form of art if anything, & if anyone tells you otherwise, they're crazy!

My profile banner actually uses the method mentioned. The feeling of using traditional art can never be replicated by a digital conversion. I love both and they both have their benefits. But digital art will never give me the urge to chug a large bottle of Indian ink, or ruin an entire piece by later spilling the same ink all over it because I wasn’t paying enough attention ::blush

Imma just copy and paste a part of a write up I did on the subject

“Building a tool kit is a good place to start when getting into any hobby. Regarding
art there are many paths to go down, but a good place to start is the classic pencil and eraser. More experimentally one could start with charcoal, for it lets one get a lot down at once, easy to erase, easy to use. Pens are a good start too; Pens are permanent thus one must accept what is put down, so it takes away the ability to constantly erase and redo. First though one needs something to draw on. Paper is overlooked for how truly important it is, for if someone can only spend so much they should invest the most in good paper. High quality paper doesn’t just have a high price for show, it’s able to absorb pigment better. Lower quality paper such as printer paper will struggle against the abuse of materials such as those that require water, grit to hold onto, or if one is too rough it tears easily. When getting materials and picking a medium, experiment! If on a budget, set more aside for your paper; Other materials will come down to how you use them, for tools don’t make the artist.”

Summarized using cheap materials is fine, focuses your budget on your paper

Of course it is.

Someone even made a whole GAME out of them:

(Pencil Whipped, 2000).
Waffles, i was looking to this game for years, i remember learning about it in and old Extreme PC Magazine many decades ago, but i can't recall the issue. I remember that the same magazine has a article about the software or program used to make this game. I don't have words to thank you!!!

The traditional media is always welcome.

I'm glad my post helped you!

I remember an interview with the author saying that he had to abandon the project because the engine he had used to make the game got discontinued by Pie-In-The-Sky (the company which made it) whilst still being riddled with bugs and without releasing the source code for it.

I think he went on to make a sort of "spiritual successor" to it, though.
