Do your friends in real life like retro games? Mine just put up with it, I wish I had someone to be competitive at guilty gear
Mine puts up with it, but I think its just annoying him, which sucks cus i invested a lot into physical multiplayer setup but none of em are really into what I like to play.My best friend likes retro games, but he's the only one. We mostly play classic fighters and co-op arcade games.
SameI don't have any friends IRL, I am anti-social.
my best friend does like some retro stuff like project justice and jet set radio, but he despises sonic (other than sa2 1st stage lol) and he hates the sega saturn. He just got a steam deck and he has a fat library of steam games, where as all my stuff is pirated. He is great I do love my best friend, I just want someone to debate about sonic with lol.Not really. My partner is more into TTRPGS and card games. He prefers competitive/social games. My friends all play RPGs and stuff but aren't as into emulation and playing old stuff as much as I am.
All my interests are scattered among different people, but there's no one person that has all the same interests as me.
I hate the majority of people around me thoughI'm sorry to read here that many of you don't have IRL friends, and some of you even brag about this. Nah, that's not good at all! You have to maintain a balance between real life and virtual life, but the former has absolute priority. Your future is at stake: don't you think that there will always be someone to support and take care of you? Sooner or later you will have to take your life into your own hands: if not you, who? If not now, when?
Alas, better a hard truth than a sweet lie.
Your virtual daddy.![]()
I don't think that's a very convincing way of saying that lol. I don't even do online friend stuff, I've always been an irl person, in my youth i did make friends online, you can imagine the fucked up stuff that happens when you make friends with people online when your young lol. I think people should be very careful about making online friends more than irl friends in a way.I'm sorry to read here that many of you don't have IRL friends, and some of you even brag about this. despite what i was saying to that other guy, I too really really like talking about my retro game hobby with everyone :) I am playing sakura wars and just turned on house of the dead 2 on the dreamcast with the gun. I fkin love house of the dead!I have one friend who plays retro titles, but only the games we played when we were kids. My other friends are not interested at all, unfortunately.
Retro games thankfully have an ever-growing online community, as evidenced here. I'm glad that I have the opportunity to discuss them with all of you! I've gotten the chance to learn many games that I otherwise would've never known about, through both these forums and CDRomance itself.
I feel like that sometimes too, but people aren't all bad.I hate the majority of people around me though![]()
