the only thing i will say on that matter... the same types of people that are telling to keep politics out is bringing law stuff. And as we all know the law is certainly unbiased, completely moral and ethic... yes yes. Even ignoring that user i can see the replies, but i will not fall attacking them, instead i will politely say.

And, on a personal note (outside of my moderator role), I'd like to extend my deepest gratitude and support to Spike for keeping this ship sailing for as long as it has.

As a fellow webmaster/admin who has also weathered many thunderstorms spawning from super soakers (and specially as someone who has been privy to what goes on behind the scenes on this here website), I continue to call myself lucky for even having the space for voicing my innermost thoughts and to share them with people I have come to see as friends over the months.

It's been one hell of a frustrating ride for him, but it hasn't been a pointless or fruitless one and I think that that needed to be said.

When I saw the article, I barely had time to read through the pages of comments but there were multiple attacks on people's character, most of which were directed at transgender people, and they were staggeringly one-sided in coming from a place of bigotry, with an occasional insult in retaliation from those against it in defense of the LGBT.

Yes, as I said earlier if you have not been paying attention to the entire situation then there is little need for you to say anything, being from a perspective of ignorance to what is happening.

As to the ongoing argument: People of different identities are allowed to express themselves and discuss the lens through which they experience media on here. Someone inevitably pops up to say "No that's politics stop", and it's hardly fair. We've been here before, it's a cycle, just gotta censure the bigots and move on.


Might be worth closing this thread though, it was primarily for Spike to vent, right? That's probably over now, and Retro Doomer is kinda embarrassing.
