In general, I enjoy "textured" music, for lack of a better word. It basically includes everything except the most soulless pop music. My favorites are Nine Inch Nails and Susumu Hirasawa.

I’ve listened to very little NiN so I’m not qualified to have an opinion on them, but Hirasawa is one of my all-time favorites.
Blue Limbo is such a good album it almost makes me cry.
