Game Description:

IGI-2: Covert Strike is a First Person Shooter/Stealth video game published by Codemasters and developed by Innerloop Studios released on 2003 for Microsoft Windows.

IGI-2: Covert Strike starts where the first part ended. So, again, you have to fight for your own, infiltrate enemy bases, wander through huge outdoor and indoor levels, hack computers and find the best strategy to solve the mission. You could say it's more of a stealth shooter than direct approach action.

Additionally, the game features multiplayer support where you can solve missions on special mp-maps.

A PDF copy of the game manual is included in the folder and is recommended to read for the best experience.

This game has been fitted with the latest version of dgVoodoo2 to help it run better on Windows 10/11. Use dgVoodooCpl.exe in order to change the screen options. This game uses directx 9 so you might be able to tell a difference when using the filter options in dgVoodoo.

To get the best sound output possible in the game you can enable EAX by using AutoInject.exe from the EAX folder. Choose the target process as the game igi2.exe and the library to inject as the file dsound.dll. Then check the box Inject upon process startup and leave the application open when launching igi2.exe. A successful injection will look like this:
AutoInject.png

That is optional but it will offer better sound output than the one the game uses without EAX. As like with the first game you can play the game from igi2.exe without installing anything.

The gameplay screenshots are from Mobygames since I was lazy lol Obviously this post will look a lot better than those old 800x600 screenshots

For me, it was slightly worse than the first installment. The voice acting for the basic enemies (not the protagonists) is the most awful I've ever heard (and I played Resident Evil 1 and Tenchu 1 on PSX with Ayame), and the fact that they tell you how long it takes to complete a mission seemed ridiculous.
The gameplay was somewhat better, but only slightly.
Anyway, I'm glad they brought it so it wouldn't get lost ::winkfelix.

you could also use DXVK on windows since its a DX9 game I kinda used it whit black and white 2, instead of using DGVoodoo. I need to play this one I have the first one, despice its jank it was a fun game

Update your game description by crediting MagiPack. ::terriermon-happy
I would but they no longer exist besides an archive backup. They had their site taken down ::sadkirby

2003?!?! That's long before Crysis and I think even before FarCry 1.

GENUINE CLASS.
Not much long before FarCry. Just some months. FarCry came out that next year in 2004

Me and a friend of mine tried out the MP demo when it came out. Agreed to a knife fight on the bridge and when we started he proceeded to strafe off the bridge.
