Alright, lots of interesting answers, I wish to add my two cents with this comment:
I'm gay.
Please take care of yourselfs, I love you (and sorry for the long ass text)
Jokes aside, when I log on to any forum or community, my deepest hope is that I find a comment or post that is good brain candy or is otherwise great for intellectual discussion. Feeds the soul, and I strongly appreciate you typing and retyping all this!

My hatred towards my body stems from a love for my consciousness and soul (metaphorically speaking - I'm basically a materialist). I strongly resonate with this quote from Lady Jaye P-Orridge: "My consciousness - my brain - my nervous system is in this rather weak and insufficient package. I'm limited by time, by gravity, by all these physical forces. I wish my consciousness could be liberated and completely free to go everywhere - to be everywhere."
I'd rather be a robot under the condition that my vessel is more free. Sure, it would still be physical and limited, but simply less limited (again, this assumes the robotic condition is superior, which is acceptable in this hypothetical). Of course, I'll accept other alternatives. What about a different nervous system that contains synapses that simply do not communicate pain but different sensations that aren't so hellish? What about a pseudo-human body that does not need sleep or food? All of that sounds pretty neat. I'll take that.
Of course, this is all a complete fantasy. I am resented against the tyranny of my flesh and I don't like the human condition, but especially as I enter my 30's, I try my best to accept the pain as it comes - I simply don't have any other option. "Love yourself" is the resource for those without the ability to become free.
Now, I don't mean to belittle anyone who loves their body - good for them! I don't see that as a weakness, although I am yet to respect it as anything other than a subconscious protection against the existential nightmare that is more presently contemplating our limitations.
Love you too, please sleep 8 hours regularly.
