If you could, which era would you live in?

I know this is probably gonna sound boring, but I'd probably pick the early 2000s, largely because I think it'd be interesting to live the time when I was a kid as an adult. I just feel like it'd be neat to get that perspective.

Definitely 90s-2000s before we were all engulfed in phones and computers. I miss dial up internet and having authentic human connection. The music was better too in my opinion.

I'm curious about which studies but if I would take therapy I'd live further in the future where gender change would be done in a finger snap instead of getting a heavy operation and/or hormonal treatment.

yeah i wish I could just snap my fingers and be done w all the treatment but im ok with taking my time. It's a long process and i've just barely started. as for studies, im taking a back-end programming course atm. i wanna finish up and get a decent paying job as opposed to the minimum wage im making atm

Future probably, if it counts. Medicine is worse the further you go to the past

Also disease outbreaks viruses and bacteria were far more prevalent, til we got plumbing and cleanliness improved. Before that it was far worse. Due to that mothers would have several children but few of them would survive to adulthood compared to today.

Certainly improved medical technology is helping, but i don't trust any current day doctors as they've pivoted from being healers and curing instead to drug pushers and selling endless 'treatments'.

A certain point in the future when it's the best of all worlds would be best. Course at that point people probably are partial cyborgs and can plug yourself into virtual worlds and have endless petabytes of storage for everything you ever wanted to keep.

I would not live in any other era. I rely on modern medical technology to live to a good standard, and even going back 30 years would significantly reduce my quality of life. Any earlier than the 1920s and I'm dead by 12.

I know. But the OP didn't clarify if I went back in or born into the time. If I went back, no big deal you're basically a person who doesn't exist, with knowledge of coming events.
If born into, well; you know saying about the fittest.
Would have said the 50s but I can't stand the thought of everything being like Leave to Beaver, My 3 sons, or Happy Days.

also i probably just wna go back to 2000-2014 era. i had friends back then and played outside / on game consoles. now everyone just stays home and meeting friends seem borderline impossible with scheduling issues

yeah ... i just feel so lonely these days after work or on the weekends. it used to be couch gaming with friends or cycling or just hanging out

Also, I wouldn't really change the era I'm in, mostly because I'm perfectly content and comfortable already, but I wouldn't lie and say that I didn't miss the 2000s/2010s too, but that's nostalgia talking.

Late 80s Japan. Just recovered from the oil crisis, still one of the most well off countries economically, surrounded by and embracing all the new tech coming out. Hell of a place to be.
