I had success in making it work from within melonDS before (the emulator supports DLDI and DSI mode) to make certain games run a lot better by forcing DSI mode from within TWM++ but I'm trying to do a fresh install and have had no success!

Either the bootloader whitescreens or the game never loads past the bootstrapper. I did it before but I honestly forgot how I did it, so any help would be appreciated.

Okay, I had a backup of this hacky little solution, it seems I needed an older version of Twilight Menu++ for it to work, I guess newer ones don't work right with MelonDS. If anyone wants some pointers, feel free to PM me.

Have you solved the problem? I am in contact with the developer (RocketRobz) of that software: if you want I can ask him directly, if you write to me clearly what you want to know. As for me, I've never heard of anyone using it on a DS emulator, instead of the real DSi. ??‍♂️

What happens is with current versions of the emulator and TWM ++ things don't load at all. Sometimes it gets stick on the bootstraper screen.

I solved it by using an older version of Twilight Menu with a slightly older version of Melon DS . They don't play well together in their current iterations.

See, the reason for my odd use case is two-fold: I don't have a DSI and I was curious to see if TWM ++ could be used to harness the extra speed of the DSI under an emulated environment (it can).

I use primarily to play Front Mission DS, as the terrible load times on battle transitions become just as fast as the SNES 's version's at DSI CPU speeds.

That said, DSI mode support on MelonDS is considered preliminary and I suspect that's why current TWM++ versions don't work with it.
What happens is ROMs don't load at all if I use anything other than MelonDS 0.9.5 and TWM++ 27.5.1.

Since this is a terribly niche use case, I don't imagine the dev will want to investigate it in depth (understandable) and plus MelonDS is probably partially at fault too.

I can still use the combo by keeping the versions I mentioned, but thanks for replying.
