Absolutely, it's just that people were either young or that it was less explicit so that people tend to think that stuff in the past were not (despite that even in the 60's we got that kind of subtext like in Star Trek). Since i'm a gamer I want to play the new stuff that people talk about, but unlike the rest of the internet i'm not a millionaire, and I have thought about it and found out that in order to be able to get modern hardware, I shouldnt get a job bc im too young and lazy, but rather i'd either die and reincarnate as someone rich, rob a bank, or even steal the hardware from the mall!!!
And yes, I know one of these involves death two out of three of these things are illegal, but still

By the way, what is stealing a hardware from the mall? you mean stealing a cashier computer from a store? I don't think those are very powerful for playing those games that people talk about.

Basically we gave to him some advices about how to get money and how to deal with that frustration. He rejected all them and after a while he put himself on Away Mode. So pretty much that we will not see him for a while.

That can also depend on what country you're from and your parent's education. When I was 12 I learnt how to cook simple food myself and I started going school alone when 7.

He probably got some rant, like a toddler, and wanted to expose it in a different way, accepting only the solution he wanted to hear, that probably is the source of the rant.

Although I am kind of surprised how many answers trying to help he received, when it was clear his purpose: a total dead end. This reminds me a Kobayashi Maru test :)

Okay, so if you want to play modern games there's always the free route the pirate ship takes. (You just need to know where to look.) If your PC is low spec, you can always go for the modern pixel game.

When I was still in school I would save up all my lunch money to go buy games. I didn't give a shit about modern games back then either, I'd go to the local flee market and just buy stacks of NES and Genesis carts. Prices for this stuff was so much better back then, with some vendors selling games a buck a piece.
Anyway point is if I found a way to fund my hobby than so can you.

Then you'll need to get a part time job of some sort. Unless you have generous family members that are willing to give you cash towards your gaming platform of choice for your birthday, it's the only legal way to get one for yourself. If you cannot get one, you're SOL.

This is like complaining about not being able to afford a Ferrari when you can buy something else that can also be cool to drive for much cheaper but still refusing all alternatives. And if you really have no money to buy a car, walk like billions of other people on Earth.

Like cars, gaming is a luxury. It's cool and all, but it's not necessary for living, unlike food, health and family. There are things in life many of us cannot, and never will have in our lifetime (super-yachts, giant villas, a Ferrari you know...), yet we don't give a damn (I have doubts about cars though).

Complaining will not change anything, there are more important things in life than games, this is truly a first-world problem.

There's a ton of alternative ways to play video games, even modern ones. I'm not really sure what to say about this. If it's about playing them legally, well, I really don't think this is the place to bring it up. You should already know your problem and understand what you need to do to manage it. I wouldn't be surprised if most people emulated video games, even the ones who complain about it.
