The mains things I have liked about the game is that the game honestly feels quite good to control I didn't feel frustrated by awkward controls, honestly I cared more about the multiplayer stuff which I liked, There's a quite a few missions in multiplayer such as Corneria's Battle for the bay, Fichina's Meteorite Melee and Sector Y's deep-space dustup. Good stuff for the multiplayer around. Although I was disappointed that the prologue was just kinda just a cutscene because I've would have been interested in playing it aside from that I thought this game was just fine I didn't really care that much for the main campaign but I liked the multiplayer stuff it had to stuff, so that's pretty much about it I'll be playing Kirby Air Riders or Smash Ultimate while I wait for Splatoon Raiders to release. Until then see you in July when Splatoon Raiders drops.

Im sorry imo Star fox sux compared to the Panzer Dragoon games (saga is more of an rpg) and sin and punishment... I REALLY hate this series, but Im sure its just my issue

Ok so what is so bad about the rest exactly? color me intrigued.
the gameplay is NOWHERE near as good as great rail shooters like Panzer Dragoon series or Sin and Punishment, and the only cool or cute characters are "bad" wolf guy and funny slippy.. its not hard, the games suck... imo

Fair enough it's your opinion and respect it but I feel it does have a place amongst the best rail shooters.

SF offers an iconic planet hopping space adventure with some cool multi-phase bosses, very quotable, and an overall charming experience all in all.
In addition to all of that there are also multiple paths to take, so pretty decent on replay value to catch everything and visit every planet, the music is really up there as well, but to each their own.

I agree the music is great.. but the "open space" has been there since PC 88 games like Star Trader back in the late 80's early 90's so I dont consider Star Fox good or expansive in its genre

I found it pretty good. Though it is odd that you have to complete all the paths to unlock expert mode. But other the that, I like how they improved to reset the course from the checkpoint without losing lives which is only in normal and easy mode. The battle mode is solid, and there's challenges to complete. So there is a little more variety then the original N64 version.

Geist, would you mind telling me about Star Trader? I consider myself a fan of Falcom's games but was always curious about their older ones, especially Star Trader, especially because of that incredible vocal mix they did for it in the Special Box albums

I feel what you mean though about StarFox, I played Gamera 2000 a couple of months ago and enjoyed that much more then the entries of SF that I've played and I'm almost sure that it's directly inspired by Panzer Dragoon, and I adore Sin & Punishment, both games, with all my heart.

I know that this will be heresy to some, but I have never found the appeal of the whole series.

I thought it looked quite bland, and the gameplay didn't exactly win me over, either — even as a ROM it was quite disappointing to me.

I shouldnt be this obvious in my old age and responsibilities.. its really cool to discuss this, but I should go.. yes If anyone wants to discuss the origin of Falcom games Im down, I dont think Starfox is worth it, thats me I guess.. but yeah Star Trader was Falcom's first try at a "open" world jrpg.. I dont want to interfere with people, Im a chain smoking old alcoholic so dont mind me... but its really good to meet friends here!

This reminded me of a very early PC-98 Paradise video on Star Trader.

You both mentioned Sin and Punishment -- one of my favorites. I just finished a playthrough of Star Successor via emulation. The game is great, of course, & the mouse controls worked surprisingly well too!

Yeah Basement Bros vids rock.. but play them yourself, its easy! Im trying to finish Xak 3 at the moment

I was a bit disappointed there was no epilogue after the credits. Not even the Expert mode has one. It's just a harder difficulty after collecting all medals from each planet which is very hard to obtain by collecting enough points. There's not even a planet select other than selecting them through challenge mode, so what was the point of being a remake? Most Nintendo games nowadays would have epilogues that would either have a new game+ or a new hidden world to discover or a new hidden boss. Glad I paid $40 through Wal-Mart instead of $50-$60 for a remake that shows the same thing again only with briefing cut-scenes.
