I need games that make me calm and make me forget about life.

As in something that doesn't require too much effort and isn't too complicated or frustrating.

So No games about war. They make me physically ill these days.

I guess animal crossing count's as one but I've never enjoyed something like that. I haven't enjoyed farming stuff like stardew valley either. I'm sorry. If anyone has recommendations i would be thankful.
It's more like your state of mind, repetiive stuff can calm you down. Musou games are very good because most of the time there is no "where the fuck do i go" kind of moment. I recommend playing Samurai Warriors 2 on the PS2, i had beautiful times playing that game, the songs are very goof too. You can play og final fantasy, final fantasy v is my favorite one, you will love the amazing music but it is boring to farm not gonna lie. My final thought is that you can just replay the games you already played before. It's very good when you already know how to play and and the stuff to do, so try that out. hope that u find your piece of mind. ^-^

Cheers, I never liked any of the GTA games and you're probably right about the full game of RDR. Just at that point of my life, trotting around nice scenery with chilled out background music and sounds, while doing a little bit of hunting and collecting pelts chilled me right out. Suppose it depends on the person and their situation at the time. I mean you can't just walk out your front door, tame a wild horse and go around collecting pelts, without getting picked up by the law or thrown into a loony bin, lol.
Ok, fair enough point. I did like the radio stations in the GTA series.
The games at least three and four, had pretty decent music.
The radio stations and the radio commercials made for the game were sometimes hilarious.
Don't get me wrong, I had the games and a lot of the time I would just let them run with the in-game radio playing.

Whichever the metal stations were mostly.

And no, I don't think taming a wild horse and pelt collecting would do anything but get you a massive fine without a license to do so, and in the correct season.

No games about war. I want to enjoy peace before a real war starts.

The friends of Ringo Ishikawa.

If you like puzzle games, try these

The Lego games are very good. If you want something that doesn't have wars or anything military, I recommend Lego Batman series and the Hobbit
For cozy games, Coral Island and Fields of Mistria are my picks. Hello Kitty Island Adventure if you want to try a Animal Crossing-like which is more "open-world" and, imo, more interesting.
Snoopy & The Great Mystery Club is like comfort food: chill, laid back and with fun mechanics.
Power Wash Simulator is also a fun one and pretty relaxing.
Kairosoft games such as Game Dev Story and Pocket Academy 3 are very addictive. Heian City Story is the one with the most mini-games.
I'm also eyeing Minami Lane.
For something funny, The Darkside Detective games are funny mysteries.

Second this, also the Marvel ones are good
I didn't mention the Marvel ones because every now and then they got military stuff, like SHIELD and stuff.Same reason why I didn't mention the Lego Star Wars, Indiana Jones or Lord of the Rings, but all of them are very good.

Also same reason why I didn't mention Stardew Valley. There is a war taking place in a faraway land and around year 2 a new NPC shows up and he was a POW for a while and has PTSD. There's also some surprisingly heavy stuff like an abusive parent, two people with alcohol problems, the little guy vs corporate greed and so on.

Just remembered it. Sorry

Here's what I (usually) do.
Tetris is your best bet. For example , there's a little bit of research that shows that if you play Tetris it will mitigate or even prevent symptoms of PTSD which shows how helpful it can be. While you are at it , reach out to a friend and talk about whatever is bothering you. (Personally, I play the first NES version of it)

The game is easy to learn, yet every match requires careful planning and smart card combinations. Whether playing against AI or real opponents, the gameplay stays engaging without feeling overwhelming. It's a great choice for anyone who enjoys classic card games and wants a relaxing way to challenge their tactical thinking.
I get what you mean — sometimes you just want something chill that doesn’t demand too much energy. Since war and farming sims are off the table, you might enjoy puzzle‑based or cozy exploration titles. Games like Journey or Abzû are short, relaxing experiences with beautiful visuals and no stress. If you like light puzzles, Unpacking is soothing and oddly satisfying. For something playful, Katamari Damacy is quirky fun without being complicated. These kinds of games let you unwind without frustration, and they’re perfect for when you just want to zone out and enjoy the vibe.

scribblenauts games are a really comfy time while still letting you think a little but in creative ways

the starfy games are probably the easiest platformers to jump into but also really cute and charming

dead or alive xtreme beach volleyball is a wonderful paradise surrounded by beautiful women + the music is fantastic

mmos are also a really good way to get sucked into a world and let the time pass you by, being around other players also makes you not feel as lonely. something like grand chase or elsword that lets you button mash away and queue with randoms would probably be good

for rpgs i would say neptunia and atelier are safe franchises for more light hearted fun and would definitely boost most peoples spirits, but for me its always been the original dragon warrior. something about it just clicks with me when im starting to feel a rut coming on and puts me right back on track, very simple rpg but because of that its very easy to just hop in and start away

aquatic games like endless ocean are also really good choices, they give off a very specific kind of zen. blue legend of water might also be worth looking at

point and click adventures like myst can suck up lots of your time too as you scan over every single induvial scene and get lost a lot, like a lot a lot. never frustrating though and its a nice place for your mind to wonder

tycoon or simulation games are also great. always found oregon trail, railroad tycoon and spore chill. oregon trail 2 is pretty underrated

hope youre doing better these days

I have recalled one game that is conflict-free and the community is nice:
Palia
There is no combat, you can hunt if you'd like.
There is one tiny mention of conflict tho. A character is a retired soldier, he is a father and grandfather now (although they live far away) and wants to live his life helping the community by owning the inn and being an absolute sweetheart.
