Ok after a long time I finally decided to finish the second remake of Final Fantasy 7. I know it's a bit late but somehow I was afraid to get to that point I think you know why.
🤔😑

Bro I didn't play that shit yet what do you mean what happened to aerith ,please use a different title

Dude, put some spoiler tags up, lol.

But yeah the Remake series sucks, everyone who has played OG FF7 knows this. They are taking a huge dump on the story of FF7. Tetsuya Nomura is one of the GOAT artists and character designers of Final Fantasy, but whomever decided it was a good idea to let him direct games made a huge mistake.

This guy is responsible for this strange ending ok then I'm not surprised that the second part isn't really convincing.
Anything that excels moreover is expanded from the original as proper remake material while anything that's new, strange, etc is Nomura's handy work. I think the only exception to this is Rosche. Rosche is good.

Now don't tell me you all haven't played it yet ?? Ok now I changed it .

You didn't have to delete it. You could've wrapped your statement in spoiler tags. Its that eyeball with a slash in the text formatting menu up top.

I'll just say this much
So, the first remake had Cloud (obviously), Tifa, Barret, Aerith, Red XIII and Yuffie (DLC) as playable character, but the second they decided to only added Cait Sith?! Please tell me that I'm wrong. I don't want to believe that Square Enix has fallen so low. Was the game at least worth the time?

Ok I tell it like it is Cid and Vincent are there but they do not fight and you cannot control them not yet but there is still a third part coming and I guess anything will probably be possible. If you haven't played the game yet, it's worth a look as there's a lot to experience.

Also Cid doesn't behave anything like OG FF7 Cid. He doesn't curse, he doesn't smoke, he isn't rude or a loudmouth.
Yeah he is a bit more loving I would say and somehow he behaves nicer and more attentive in the group, not as bad boy like in the original.

What I don't get is the "remake" thing, why call it that if you still have play the original in order to understand what is happening in the story of the "remakes"; might as well just call it FFVII 2.

The game ends shortly after Cid and Vincent join the crew, so neither of them do any fighting.
Instead of remake or rebirth they should have called it "Alternate" since it's completely different from the original story.
Big hot take coming, I don't believe they are changing the story. I feel like they are telling the story in a different (and imo worse) way, but it will ultimately play out the same. If they truly wanted it to be completely different, then they should have done that with Rebirth. Remake sets it up perfectly, with them setting off on "the unknown journey" but then Rebirth is mainly just expanding on the original FF7. The differences seem more like adding in concepts from the compilation or cut concepts from the original, rather than a completely new take.
Now, part 3 can still deliver on this story they want to tell, they set it up and just need to hit it, but I am partially worried that they will change the story due to fan feedback instead of committing to whatever they have planned out.

Weirdly enough Nomura is the normal one here. He wanted a more traditional remake. Nojima was the one who wanted to change it up and go crazy with new concepts.

That is a surprise. Thinking back even with the better graphics, theatrics, and even the open world, without the new added stuff the first game could have went all through the first disc and still have been a pretty substantial game. It would have been better structured as by the first disc you get all the characters, and it ends on a rather somber but pretty key and notorious part within the story. Are you saying Nomura could have cooked? What drugs am I on?

he gave us Kingdom Hearts and was creative producer or smth like that for TWEWY so unfortunately I will disagree there. Kingdom Hearts is just too good to hate Nomura for

Never let Nomura cook, he always burns the kitchen.

KH1 is one of my favorite games on the PS2, but that series went downhill after that. TWEWY is incredibly overrated, I'm afraid. Its like SE's attempt at a Persona clone. It does have impeccable visual style, Nomura never misses from that aspect.

Nomura is the director, while Nojima is the writer. Nomura outranks him and normally would have the final say for creative decisions. So he doesn't escape blame for the Remake series fiasco.

They didn't go into too much detail but I remember the quote was for Remake, Nomura and Hamaguchi fought Kitase because he wanted to make a drastic change to the Midgar arc and they eventually won on that end.
For Rebirth he pretty much said that as Creative Director a lot of his work was already done since Rebirth builds off of Remake, so he was much more hands-off and basically just oversaw things he felt very strongly about.

He also found it funny that people blamed him for certain things just because they were convoluted or complicated, but said he doesn't care about them blaming him if they ended up enjoying it in the end.

I don't see the comparisons between TWEWY and Persona but I will say its surprising to see someone who loves KH1 but not KH2. That's a weird breed you don't see very often
