Based on the DIC cartoon, despite the PAL boxart this is the US version, this game is yet another SEGA Channel exclusive in the U.S. with the PAL version getting a retail release.

I wonder how many Sega Channel games are lost media? I hope more obscure games turn up!!
From what I understand the recent batch that had Garfield and Flintstones has the last "known" lost media being discovered and preserved, this one afaik was preserved prior to that recent batch, but it's possible more games are still missing.

I guess it's kinda remarkable because of the plot isn't it
I don't really know, I don't remember much all I remember is the show took place in the wacky adventures in between matches.

I've watched it here to. I remember one episode where they go to Transylvania to play against a team of vampires and in the end they discover they were larpers who were drinking tomato juice instead of blood ::linkmouthcover
Lol that is literally the one episode I remember, how odd.

This cartoon aired in Brazil back at the time, I remember watching it a little bit. If I'm not wrong, the brazilian player of the team was always barefooted for some reason. (ok, I know the reason)

I forgot this cartoon existed.

I wish for ignorance once more.

Soccer Kid on the Amiga actually predates Marko's Magic Football. It's a low bar, but Marko is a better experience, but hey they are all doing something original.

I did not expect that!

Just when I thought this was the only Soccer platformer on the Genesis...

My thoughts exactly, lol.
There's a Super Nintendo Micheal Jordan platformer, does this count?

I grew up with Marko's Magic Football, while not the greatest game it's decent and got some cool ideas, I played Hurricanes for a bit and it feels very very average, makes me appreciate Marko's Magic Football more tbh... though it could be just my nostalgia.

And yes, I did watch a few episodes of the cartoon back in the day, don't remember much tbh other than there were very few actual soccer scenes, it was a soccer show about anything but soccer.

This looks soooo american saturday morning cartoon from the 90s.
Yup, it's based on an American TV show, which is surprising, considering it's about soccer. Maybe the 1994 FIFA World Cup had something to do with that. Never really watched it, it caught me a little too old.
