How often are you completing games?

Back then, I used to beat games left and right and sometime I go all the way and 100% the entire game. But now... I barely even finish any game.

I knock over between 100-200 games a year but I only play games that take less than 10 hours to complete and some games can be beaten in less than an hour

Usually, from a young age, I concentrate on one game to complete it as long as I get the best possible result. With the advent of emulators and the convenience of having my games in a well-organized library and no longer on physical media, I often find myself wanting to start another one at the same time, but I try hard not to.

Not as much as I'd like to. I always end up burning out or avoiding the end of a game.

Completing a game is 100%'ing the game to me, while beating/finishing a game is playing up until you reach the end credits.

I practically never complete games, whereas I beat games every once in a while. It depends on how much free time I have in a month.

This current month has been pretty busy on my end, so I haven't been going through the backlog too much, unfortunately.

The only games I try to complete 100% are the GTA games, and I usually take a month for one game (I'll prolly try to 100% more open world games later). As for just beating, sadly, I think I already played most of the games out there that are for my taste, so I don't get entertained by games as much. So if replays don't count, I can't even tell you how often I complete games lmao

dont give up! theres always another game! maybe one you havent found yet, or maybe one thats yet to release! saying theres no games left to play is just too sad!

Fuckin'  never

I've already got an enormous backlog 😭
What's the last game you beat?

At the rate I'm going Red Dead 2 plat is gonna take me until at least mid June

I don't remember, I have short-term memory loss.

I began to complete games a lot more recently (I didn't really do it at all in the past). I often check if it's either a game I like (with some exceptions), or if it's doable, and doesn't have a crapton of stuff to do.

in my teens i could finish a new pokemon game in a weekend like it was nothing, as an adult its pretty rare unless its on the shorter side or im 900% locked in (but adhd makes that kinda hard lol)

finished a snes sound novel last week (otogirisou) over the course of abt 2ish hours & it was satisfying being able to put the game down knowing i've seen pretty much everything

thats pretty low.
you make us who said "a bazillion games monthly" look like losers lol.
Honestly I feel like the loser. I've spent so much money on titles, consoles and collecting roms and all for what? For me to go back to comfort games as I wade through burn out. I'd love to try more games but there's always something else that puts it on the shelf past the first week or it's easy to fall back into Skyrim the 86th time, or return to the farm or play architect in the Sims and just not even move people in.

I've never really been one to complete games, as much as I'd like to say otherwise. I grew up renting games a lot, so I didn't really have the time to dedicate mastering many games. That's still carried over to my adult life, but now I do try to make a point to complete at least 2 new games per year (new to me completing it, not new-new).

I'm definitely never going to be a full-on completionist, though. I don't have that time nor the energy.

It depends on the game really and what time I have between studying Japanese at university. Once I finished the semester I immediately knocked out finishing Clair Obscur for example. I need to finish off Tales from the Borderlands and Mad Max too since I'm almost done with those before other games ended up releasing and taking my time away from those.

i think its all about picking right. there's a lot of games but not all games are good and not everyone can really make a game. ive also bought games that i'll never beat, because i played them and didnt really like them or just because i feel like playing something else. i think its normal to just play whatever you want even if that means modding skyrim or new vegas again, you're not a loser for that.

because i also tend to buy games and not play them, i buy mostly on sale. i cut my losses you know im that kind of man.

I usually beat like 1 or 2 a month, but I feel like I've slowed down lately. It's mostly because I'm starting a bunch of different games at once or experimenting with things or have simply been busy with personal stuff.

Like right now I'm sitting on the half-way points of Robot Alchemic Drive, Etrian Odyssey 4, Breath of Fire 1, Nanobreaker, Black Myth Wukong, RE4 Remake, and Romancing SaGa 2 Remake.

Sometimes I wonder what I can accomplish with the Dragon Ball Z Hyperbolic Time Chamber...
