I was never a big complistionist. I'km I'm playing something, and the difficulty gets real high, I usually move on to something else.

I only tough it out if I absolutely love the game(Megaman series, Metal Slug series)

play most ps1 games so i finnish 15 to 20 games in a month

note i do not complete the games since completing a game means find 100& of everything in the game

if a game has multiple ending i just play it normal once then i use cheat codes max level to play through it again to see the other endings

if i need to grind level alot in the game i use cheat code to gain faster exp since i do not have the time to grind for levels

thats how i finnish so many games in a month

I usually try to finish most my games. Doesn't always work out though due to life happening outside of my game time. I may not always 100% but i at least try to play till I see the credits. I've finished 10+ so far this year and most were a ton of Gameboy and Sega Genesis games in particular but also have finished several newer games this year as well. that being said the amount of half finished games is also an issue lol

depends. i like jrpgs but also im an adult with responsabilities, so i complete a jrpg every month or two months. but i get tired of it so in between i put action games that take only 5 or 10 hours to beat. i play pretty often so i'd say on average i beat a game every two weeks with 2-4 hour sessions every other day.

What is “complete” to you?

For the vast majority of games, that's when the credits roll. My backlog is just too big to spend much more time on a single game unless it's something that I'm absolutely loving and don't want to end.

Lately I'm completing stuff at a nice pace, although I'm trying to stay away from long games (+15/20 hours) unless it's something I'm really interested in. Still got to come around to picking up again and finishing Y:LaD someday.

So far I've beaten 12 games this year, but some of them were like 1-2 hours long.

But Im now trying to start finishing my games. My back log is enormous, so Im starting to even feel good when finishing some games. maybe one day I can finish my (physical) collection.

In the last 5 years since I joined CDRomance, I have focused more so I guess about 1 for every 10 games I start. So about 4 per year?

Game like Final Fantasy VII and Hacks I have started 5 times and sank a total of over 50hrs but I get distracted by something else.. and so it is.. lol

I guess I let the games grow with me, advancing chapters every year or so... taking a decade completing some games I DO ADORE but I am a hoarder, so I am busier curating collections than playing, and then I play but want to play everything, so I am spread too thin I guess.

i think there's no rush when it comes to completing games. if its fun just play it until its over. thinking about it as a civic duty turns it into a chore with time and eventually people develop that sickening mindset "how do people find games fun anymore?"

i only play most games once, and i understand how you feel doing every sidequest cause you're not coming back to it. i do the same. but i still do it at my own rythm because playing is still all about fun.
