How often are you completing games?

About 2-5 games a month at this rate I should be finished with my back log in about 5-9 years.

BIggest issue is I beat 2-5 games a month and get 1-3 new games per month almost. They need to quit releasing new epic titles.

I just play beaten parasite eve 2 yesterday day so a week worth of playing.

I'm quite strict when it comes to finishing games THERE IS NO DISTRACTIONS And nothing that stops me from finishing a game i already picked up it's a must i SHOULD get to the end i have to finish the journey i cant leave half way through it's either me or the game

My trend for playing games these days go like this: hyperfixate for up to a week -> dwindle down and play other stuff too, alongside it -> get bored or burned out, don't play for weeks to months -> come back, buckle down and either finish it or make serious progress.

Rinse and repeat till I either beat the main story or campaign (and any completionist stuff I wanna do), quit temporarily and probably delete my file, or drop the game 100%. My game-completing is probably like my book-completing: maybe one or two a year? And it depends on the game and its length, really.

If I had to guess from my Games I've Played text document, chronicling every game I remember playing? I think I've beaten maybe 25~30% of games I've ever played. And maybe 10~15% are games I never wanna play again, while 30% are games that I don't feel I need to beat, or can't (arcade games, et cetera).

My 100% completionist autism used to be really bad, I'd pick short games just so I could check my made up list of cleared games, it got even worse when they invented cheevos and trophies. Thankfully nowadays it's far easier for me to drop a game and I don't even care about trophies anymore. That said, sometimes I still get withdrawal and think about picking up that one game just to "tick the 100% box" but it usually goes away 2-3 days later ::winkfelix

Always. It's a curse, well an OCD. I usually don't choose what game to start, it's random or by other people, then I have to finish it and complete it 100% (or all the things I can possibly know if it's a very rare and obscure game). I can't play any other game from that platform, but I can play another game from another platform meanwhile if I get too crazy lol.

I don't consider achivements as 100%, even if they are native for the game, because I can or can't agree of what they request or consider what is a feat. My 100% is standard from old school, level up to the max, get all skills, all possible items, all sidequests, etc.

Also, if the game requires to be too skilled for going through I use cheats, because I don't like games that put you into a learning curve, that's a waste of time for me. I don't feel proud of beating something high difficulty, because I only count how much time I wasted doing something when I could have being doing something else, or playing another game.

With this approach, I have beaten 10-15 games a year (mostly PS1 games, because that's the generation I'm in right now).

I make my best effort to finish a game and sometimes to 100% a game but if I'm not enjoying the game anymore I will move on to a different one.

i have a horrible time completing games
i call it ArkSyndrome. i either get distracted by something else into a game im having fun with,
OR im super invested into whatever game im playing at the time, but then end up stopping and not coming back to finish it at the VERY END of the game (latest example, Metaphor Re Fantazio)
