How many times am I allowed to kiss my controllers for good luck before it gets weird?

As you all know, it's commonplace for an elite gamer to show appreciation for his tools in the craft of gaming: the controller. And in doing so the gamer will often kiss their controller before each gaming sermon. I kiss my controllers, arcade sticks, KB+M, etc. 3 times in honour of the 3 gaming saints: Saint Nintendo, Saint Sony, and fallen Saint Sega (may he rise again). At the arcade that just opened up I kept getting weird looks as I performed this ritual at each arcade machine. Is 3 too many? Should I cut it down to 2 because there is no Sega anymore?

I also tap my chest in the shape of a D-pad (up, down, right, left) upon every video game death in reverence for the player character's sacrifice in my quest for gaming greatness.

Do you do the Konami code on your chest

No, but I should add that to the repertoire. I need all the luck I can get.
Do it 7 times, might increase the odds
With 7 four leaf clovers too
And another set of 7 things just in case
You never know

I just serenade all my tech with the ending of Mr. Roboto

Do it as much as you like dude, as long as everyone is consenting and happy there is no reason to stop.

where does NEC, Atari and Microsoft factor into this equation? Do they add or subtract from the total kiss count?
I do not worship false gaming prophets.

One guy at the arcade specifically said "I am not consenting to seeing this and I'm not happy about it."

I suspect the game controller, much like the mobile phone, is a veritable hub of noxious bacteria. Just remember to practice safe objectophilia... keep it clean.
