Land of might is a sort of free to play, bullet hell (dodge the projectiles / shoot projectiles), retro style (8bit), browser based (no download required) MMO. Actually, no sign-up is required either !
Basically, a free-roam fantasy MMO where NPC/Bosses level up with players to make it more challenging, also, the world is persistent, so all NPCs that spawn across the three servers exist even after players leave the game. Additionally, players get stronger by drinking potions, NPCs/Bosses get stronger after defeating each-other and leveling up.
Another cool aspect of the game is Might, it influences how NPCs/Bosses perceive you; basically the more might you have, the more bosses will think twice before attacking you. Moreover, you can even subjugate other npcs (npcs can do this to each-other too), and sort of have your own pets that will follow you around and fight other NPCs with you.
Now on to the core mechanics; there are three "dimensions": Land Of Might, Underworld, Hell.
Underworld
This is where players go the first time they "die" (death in this game is complicated, kinda perma-death but not really")
Once you've gained over 100 might and are killed (body health *white shade of bar hits zero) you are sent to the underworld, you need to escape by looking for the green portal. Even more, there is a river of darkness you need to cross, so find the grim reaper (towards the middle of the outside of the river), and pay 1 might to go across. Also, ghosts, skeletons, vampires and more monsters will try to kill you while you escape !
Hell
this is where all entities go before being destroyed by Satan (NPCs & Bosses included). If you die in the underworld... DONT WALK INTO THE DARK RIVERS.... In this dimension, death is serious. You need to find the green portal (as seen on the mini-map), to escape. Satan controls hell and kills all NPCs & Players that spawn there, so you need to run. If you die in Hell, you will lose 33% of your body..(a stat that i will discuss later), until you have no more, and then you die & your character as well as items are gone forever.
Stats
The two main health stats are Blood and Body.
It's pretty intuitive really, the red coloring on your health bar is your blood, and the white coloring/shade is your body health. So like in real life, you can die from blood loss (cuts and stabs), or you can die because your entire body is destroyed (think evaporation by nuclear bomb or explosive).
The easiest way to die is by losing all of your blood (red shade on your health bar goes all the way down). After this, the grim reaper will come looking for you and will most likely kill you (you have to play to know what i mean...).
But like i said earlier, your blood doesn't determine when you are sent to the underworld/hell, its your body health (the white bar/the white shade on the health bar). Once this bar runs out, you are sent to the underworld, again, think something like being evaporated, sort of like in Dragon Ball...
Other Player Stats:
Defense: Dampens up to 75% of enemy damage
Vitality: Determines the rate of healing (note that body takes 2x longer to heal than blood)
Speed: Determines movement speed
Dexterity: Determines the speed, distance, and fire rate of your player's weapon
Attack: Multiples the weapon damage, ex: player has 10 attack, and sword that does 100 damage, total damage is 1000
The game is also PVP, so you can fight other players if you want, & there's also a castle conquest system and many other cool features !
