Hello y'all, after joining RGT I saw two or three people who are apparently Italian. But I'm sure there must be more, so...how many of you guys are from Italy? Raise your hand if you are

Judging by the amount of Italian translations being uploaded, probably alot.

Why do you want to know? Was there a need to open a specific thread? You could join the existing italian group and ask there. Anyway here I am, your truly, one and only. ???

Sorry guys, but...

Haha, I'm joking of course.

The thing is there are a couple dishes that require breaking spaghetti, they're soups

If you wanna trigger me, why do foreigners keep making pasta and putting in the sauce AFTER the noodles, you're supposed to put it in the saauce mix it then serve it then put the remaining sauce on top thats how you incorporate the sauce's flavor into the dish!::unhappy

I always like to cook the pasta first and then put it into the sauce as the sauce itself is cooking so they can simmer together for a while. Nice to know it seems to be the correct method, or at least correct-adjacent. Honestly had no idea it's a point of contention for some. If I were to guess, from what I've seen online, a lot of pasta recipes seem to be broken into {how to prepare pasta} and {how to prepare sauce} so maybe people just naturally assume that they are meant to be prepared separately and then put together at the end when they're both done.

Good boy

Yes thats how all pasta is meant to be made, in some recipies you even have to only half boil it then do the rest in the sauce

Quick example of this

That was harsh.
Comunque.
Well the thing is in anglo countries when they say italian they mean ancestry, here italian just means you were born here, an american with an ita last name would still be seen as an american; like Quentin Tarantino or Robert DeNiro (though the latter has IT citizenship so he's like a foreign resident\immigrant) theres no malice to it
