Not sure what's the average density of mecha fans on the forum, so I'd figure I'd ask. To be as all encompassing as possible, feel free to comment with an kind of media (hence why it is in general discussion, rather than general gaming discussion).
The classifications proposed are very loose and only really serve to create a general outlook, as many mecha series dip their toes on all sides - it's all very interpretational.
Myself, I prefer the gritty, more grounded variety, which would be immediately boring for people peferring the other extreme, I suppose.
