How can I delete/edit a comment in the REPO?

Look, I'm someone very... perfectionist when it comes to writing, so sometimes I post a comment and some hours later, I suddently get an idea to add something (usually tiny improvements or new sentences).
But it seems that this website only allows us to make changes for a certain period of time, and then, the options disappear.
So I tried to "reply" to my own comment hopping to edit it, but it just makes my post bigger and bigger.

I know this "feature" might be userful to prevent some situations, but it make things a little awkward to me.

your best bet is to contact a moderator. but you need to be level one to contact them in a direct message. hopefully one of them will see this post and help you out with deleting your post. they have the power to do that. you have one hour to edit or delete a post, after that; it's permanent unless a mod deletes it.

Yeah, you only have an hour to edit your posts before they're set in stone. My understanding is that this feature was implemented because some users were routinely vandalizing their own posts thus making threads incoherent for people who read them later. It is what it is I suppose.

You can link posts you want deleted here and I'll take care of it. Just don't do it too often. We used to take requests like this all the time but recently we've decided that asking our users to think before they post would be better for everyone.

As an alternative, I can edit your posts however you need. If that's how you want things done just say so and I'll DM you so you can send me the details. Just make sure you have the final draft for your edits because I won't be available to edit your posts every 15 minutes just because you had a change of heart when it comes to a word or two.
