FNAF World was by far the best FNAF game. And the only reason people didn't like it, was because it wasn't a copy and paste of all of the other FNAF games.

It's still really weird that there wasn't a restaurant themed world though. Talk about a missed opportunity.

Even at their most ambitious, most stories in gaming are at the very best sporadically average by the standards of just about any other storytelling medium.

assassin's creed games are not good, all of them are garbage at worst and average at best, combat is shallow, platforming (parkour) is clunky and stiff, story is subpar, characters are boring (yes even Ezio), the best game in the series is black flag and even that shit is 70% tailing mission, people swear by AC2 but the missions are annoying, the only game with a decent combat is syndicate and that one is the shitty copy of arkham combat, can't believe we lost 3 memorable franchises that were legendary in their genres (prince of Persia, Rayman, splinter cell) just for more boring open world slops like assassin's creed, far cry or watch dogs and to this day I don't understand why people even buy this games

There are a non-insignificant amount of people in this world who just play the “standard Ubisoft game” — the third-person action-adventure go-up-towers unlock-this follow-that upgrade-your-skills template — and not anything else. If this genre gets you, you can just keep playing the annually-released Assassin’s Creed and Far Cry games forever, because they’ll never stop making them, and you’ll stay loyal to the Ubisoft brand in the same way some people are loyal to Nintendo or Sony.

Here's one: crafting is BS in about 95% of the games that have it.

I can believe Joel the smuggler would know his way around weapons, but most other protagonists don't strike me as capable of pulling that off.

I still like plenty of their other series, but when it comes to their overall design choices and Pokemon in specific I'll one hundred percent agree with you. Enthusiastically even.

Here’s a hot take for you: the Pokemon franchise in its entirety has sucked horribly since it went 3D with X/Y, even without a certain sausage-sucker making music for them. I consider B2/W2 the informal finale of the series. Even the spinoffs aren’t good, anymore, and every new monster design in the past decade has been atrocious. Outside of fanaticism, I have no idea why people still buy these games.

Outside of Zelda and Mario, I agree with you on all other Nintendo franchises, too. I have not liked the Switch era at all… ?

I feel this way about Doom 3, too. Not that any of these games are bad, but Quake has clearly set the precedent for all id games past 1995.

Also Need for Speed Unbound is better than most of the Black Box Need for Speed games (not Most Wanted or Carbon tho) and all of the pre-Black Box games, also that game's soundtrack is way better than people say it is and even if I don't personally enjoy most of the music in the game due to my genre preferences it still fits the game as perfectly as anything in Most Wanted fits that game

Saw a take on Pokemon and wanted to share my takes as well, Pokemon SoulSilver and HeartGold aren't just shit pokemon games, they're shit games period. Johto as a region sucks, the gyms still sucks (most gym leaders use Kanto pokemon), level curve still sucks, pokemon distribution per route kinda got better but it's still just @ss. Whoever lead the remakes didn't make enough meaningful changes to the game and the fact that people keep putting it as one of the goat pokemon games is a joke (also Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen are the best pokemon remakes)

I really dislike Sony's modern direction.

As someone who loved and played the Playstation since the beginning, I couldn't care less to play any of their modern games other the Astrobot, which is a Mario style 3D platformer.

They have ruined Insomniac, Sucker Punch and Naughty Dog. The closure of Japan Studios is unforgiveable.

And on the subject of Naughty Dog, none of games after Jak 3 deserve to be called Naughty Dog games.

Give me Crash Bandicoot and Jak and Daxter over any of that movie game guff.

I don't like the dating aspects of the new fire emblem. I've always thought it was weird a game about wars in a medieval setting have a dating mechanic. Fortunately it's optional, but it's still a weird feature to add to this kind of game.
Also, the plot of the Dmc reboot with the emo Dante sucks, but the rest of the game(combat, platforming, weapons) are pretty good, maybe one of the best of the franchise, at least at the top 3.
