I think One Piece is the worst of the Big Three, mainly because of the horrendous pacing that makes one unable to enjoy the story. I ain't saying the story is bad, but having to watch 1100+ episodes of a still image and waiting for something to happen just makes one not even care about the story. Hell, the story could be the greatest of all time, downright better than any made. Ever. But I will never know because who can bother watching that much and that long? Honestly, some people say to just endure it since the story is good but nah, I just can't get into it and I would much rather watch other shows that aren't as horrendously badly paced as One Piece is.

Speaking of fighting games, I think we're in an absolute poo age of fighting game character designs. Compare, say, Street Fighter 4's characters:

Ooh, look at them! They're colourful (even with a limited palette), they're wearing interesting clothing that other characters don't, and they've all got unique silhouettes. Even though they're all making similar poses and have similar expressions, you can tell that Dudley's a gentleman, and that Juri Han is mischievous and snarky, and that Rufus is a loudmouth. Even when they're not really "attractive", they have strong designs that make them appealing and fun to look at. The shading and distinct outlines make them look like 2D illustrations come to life. Talk about good character design! (And yes, I know Dudley is from a SF3 sequel, but work with me, here.)

Now, look at SF6's new characters:

What the fuck are these monsters. They look ugly, they look ugly, they look ugly! They look ugly because, in addition to having the most brutish, uncanniest faces and body types imaginable, they've just been given some weird fucking accoutrements.

Why does Marissa's mouth spread across the width of her face, literally extending past her eyes? Why does Luke have a unibrow and a comb-over? Why does Manon have massive gorilla hands (measure the tip of her forefinger to her wrist), and her hair looks like it's been photoshopped on a layer in front of her head? And they all have silhouettes that match existing characters, too – Marissa is Zangief, Manon is Chun-Li, Luke is Ryu/Ken. That isn't very original.

I don't know. All post-2015 fighting game characters look ugly as shit to me. (I sorta thought this about SF5, too.) Do the fans like this? I know it's only 35-year-olds+ playing this genre anymore, so are they kind of ugly-ing them up for millennials or something? Hoo boy, do they not make me want to put 15,000 hours into the game + 3 years' worth of paid online + a ticket and lodgings for EVO, that's for sure! I'm sticking with the French Bread pixel-art games about Fate characters.

Guilty Gear's visual design and theme have taken an absolute nosedive since Xrd. While technically impressive it doesn't look even remotely as cool as XX. The music in particular is the most painful one.

I actually had Guilty Gear in mind for that post, too. The most recent game looks way worse than the older ones. I don't really think any currently-active fighting game series looks good at all.

Am I the only one who didn't really like both the Cowboy Bebop movie (Knockin' on Heaven's Door) and the Trigun movie (Badlands Rumble)? They both have the same issues: generally-uninteresting plots completely divorced from the main series, little time spent on the original casts in favour of bland new characters, and a complete disregard for many of their IP's most interesting sci-fi concepts. Neither one serves as a particularly strong representation of either series.

Nobody ever talks about either film, so I don't know if this is really a hot take or not, but I think they're both QUITE POOR!!!!!

Persona 4 is not the best Persona game and I will stand by that.

Of course it's not, it doesn't have the cohesive thematic of Persona 3 nor the improvement of Persona 5. It's in an awkward middle ground where the dungeons aren't procedural but are even more annoying because of that.
The dialog were good though, and people forget that Persona 3 backstory was kinda disappointing after that fantastic atmosphere.

.... And Accent Core ? That's my favorite one !
But yeah, didn't liked how Xrd toned the speed down... And hated how Strive is more like a wacky Street Fighter rather than a proper Guilty Gear... Worst thing is that it worked so now i can't hope Arc Sys will ever going back...

I saw the Bebop movie in theatre and have forgotten a lot of it. It's got some good character bits, but overall is just a very long drawn out episode of the show. Badlands Rumble has the same problem, but does make for a good mid series watch.

I also love to use "10 dollar words" and think the more unusual language we can employ in everyday speech and writing, the better.

This is what is pissing me off about WarCraft 3 people complain reforged is bad but continue to play it , well solution is simple boycott but nope lets buy the game play it again and again and proceed to complain.

Even from an ethical perspective blizzard is a scum company having workers who harassed women in the company stealing breast milk and doing other nasty stuff but nooooo play the newest WOW expansion that has 2 reskinned races what an absolute joke...

I hope people finally vote with their wallets.
