It probably contains ideas so fucking obscure and strange that no one will be able to figure out what to realistically do with them.
Kojima always thinks outside the box, except he also got rid of the box entirely and replaced it with a pimped out shopping cart that has a spoiler, nitro and a sun-powered electricity generator.
Oh and also celebrities, tons and tons of movie stars are inside that document for sure.

Hideo Kojima is not creative, he combined the ideas others created and that's all about it. What he can do is taking an idea and making it seem like something else.

Snatcher is stolen from Blade Runner. Even its theme music was stolen, shamelessly and obviously altered from a popular song at the time. However what is really bothering is Hideo Kojima's young shameless behavior to add sexual assault elements into his games, just why lol. You can flirt and even touch bodies of women and it's not humorous at all. These games wasn't suppose to be porn games. And then in Death Stranding his fetish evolved to a character licking face of a woman lol.

Policenauts was fundamentally stolen from Lethal Weapons and an unknown fiction I have no idea of or he attempted to improve a real life idea considering a part of history of America. However it doesn't seem different than some animes.

Metal Gear fundamentally a psuedo-MacGyver game filled with whatever was popular in the era. Snake's way of hiding and using items to move on with his mission is fundamental logic of MacGyver. He ruined Metal Gear by butchering the last game in the series with Walking Dead BS and many more BS.

Zone of Enders is generic anime, something like Neon Genesis Evangelion.

Death Stranding is another version of Japanese urban legends. He was so emotionally moved by the company Amazon and their honourable way to deliver items to people lololol. He was also emotionally stressed by the way how America at the time was. In his own naive way he wanted to teach something Americans will never comprehend. Hideo Kojima is an American wannabe who always dreamed to be a big shot in America but he couldn't be a person like that in Japan. Because of it he ruined Konami by sacrificing Konami for his selfish BS and ruining video game industry further because mostly because of him video game industry is not about games anymore.

Until Death Stranding he didn't attempt to be creative, he had different vision on how video games can be. I never enjoyed his works as a video game. MGS 3 personally a touching story that wouldn't matter to people who is not even a soldier. MGS 1 is fun. This is all about the value of Hideo Kojima has for me. However Death Stranding seems like an insane creativity, as in a mental illness of a schizoid person lolol. He experimented by instead of combining ideas he just wanted to do what's cool. But I have no idea if I can call his randomness in Death Stranding cool, but he still stole tons of ideas like the invisible creatures in the game is clearly from The Children Who Chase Lost Voices.

So when you are ignorant of America when you live in Japan, Hideo Kojima seems creative because of all the American ideas he stole. But then when you live in America being so ignorant to Japan you would think Death Stranding is so creative.

No one but him can make that damn USB useful so his so called ideas are null lol.

Not many people actually care what is creative. They only care about the fun they had. But the word "creative" is a generic compliant people state.

For example if you think Harry Potter is creative, I have to tell everything in it is a sum of north-east European legends. I don't even reduce it to magic and how it's, I mean everything. However yes, Harry Potter has characters and their situation that didn't exist in other fictions, but this won't make it creative and Harry Potter wasn't liked because it's creative anyway. When you are a kid you can relate yourself to it and enjoy the life that's similar to you and the life that's so amazing to you. Harry Potter is not like real life as this difference is attractive. What kids care about how same elements in Harry Potter is in many legends?

Inspiration is not what people think it's. Inspiration is creating something else from something else. If I look at Mona Lisa and inspired to create a story of a woman who was was frozen in the mirror she looked at and she was invisible to anyone but a person who can love her then this would be inspiration and I'm inspired by this random idea now. But what Hideo Kojima does is taking Mona Lisa and use it without even changing it, he changes the way it's used. So if Hideo Kojima had cared about Mona Lisa enough to add her into his work it would be 100% look-alike character who looks like Mona Lisa and she would be a silent character who mostly smiles. This is not inspiration.

When you understand Hideo Kojima in the context of Japan, you can understand Japanese people has ironic sense of creativity. They like same things that looks different. Most anime has a fool character who loves friendship and the extra height they took to do what they want. When animes filled with such characters I cannot call them creative despite their hair looks very crazy than the rest of them in same but different way.

In the end when we love a fiction we are like "damn I love it" without caring if it's creative, but then we discuss it people keep phrasing with "creativity". People think inspirations as in taking ideas as is and using differently is something okay to do because they only care about the same thing they like.

Artwork doesn't have to be creative. I mean things not being creative is not a bad thing for me. I called "Harry Potter not creative", same as Hideo Kojima but I don't mean ill. It doesn't diminish their value. But I think it's unfair to call these creative and inspirations. Harry Potter is combined collection of how such legends are. Hideo Kojima likes to develop video games with elements he loves in movies he watched. In the end it's not something I think it as "bad" but I cannot even call them inspirations when directly ideas being used without even changing it but the way their usage is rather changed.

I love the MGS series to death, but I will entirely admit that Kojima is an insane lunatic in both the best and worst ways and I think is someone who needs a guy on dev teams to ground him and even probably just tell him 'no' sometimes. I think it's telling that for the majority of the MGS series he had Tomokazu Fukushima as his scenario writer, then the first game that he wasn't attached to (MGS4) was an absolute clusterfuck of ideas and insanity since Kojima was presumably left to his own devices.

That being said, the guy is such an entertaining lunatic and hype man for himself. I mean, just look at his Twitter; he's claimed to have 'invented camera', once explained Death Stranding to Mads Mikkelsen as 'two dinner plates, one knife' and claimed to have invented an entirely new genre of game with Death Stranding, the 'Strand Game'. What does that mean? The man is 100% an idea guy, so I wouldn't be surprised if the USB stick is just full of general and vague mechanical ideas without any meat really attached to them.

I don't like this kind of assumption that people "stole" when they're just mixing up their references. No one creates something from thin air and classic art is just people working on other people ideas.

Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Bob Dylan only reworked many Blues songs; Chanbara were rehashed in Star Wars and Sergio Leone movies; Even nowadays social media aesthetic pages just "copy" imagery from other decades.

In the end, he try to do something that he thinks is cool for himself at least.

This reminds me of George Lucas when he was shooting the Star Wars prequels.

During the original trilogy he had people restraining his most convoluted ideas because he was still young and somewhat inexperienced, yet talented.

The result was magnificent.

During the prequels nobody had the guts to say no to him. Afterall, he was George Lucas, creator of Star Wars, how could he be wrong?

The results was not as good.

Kojima seems to be a similar figure.

I think so too, the 'insane but still talented auteur' type creative guy. I think Kojima is probably more out there than George Lucas was (he was just more inexperienced I think) but they're still similar.

I already said an artwork doesn't have to be creative. History of art is filled with people who never cared about it being creative. Some took inspirations and enjoyed it, some liked to steal it. They are different things and the words I use it is not because I think it's bad despite the word "stealing" but IDK what word I can use it when it seems so stealing.

However there are creative ideas. There are creative people. Your assumption is what I call "stealing" is what everyone does when it's not. Creative, inspired or stolen ideas are very different things.

The initial aspect of humanity is creating stories by being inspirated from their real life and their fears. This is why mythologists exist. They didn't have to steal from someone else. Put a person on an island all alone and the island being so empty, that person will come up with their own stories. Stories fundamental part of how brain works, because a reality brain comprehends is a story like a dream that try to make sense the sensory data it process by justifying with in the context of what makes sense. That's why people invented religions and believe in it.

But I'll just say this: Caring about creative and what's creative is pointless to me, so as liking and calling people and their work "creative" because we may never have any idea of whom they stole the idea of. Another thing is the point is enjoying it, not tracing its source to determine if they steal it, inspired or created it. In that context I think calling someone creative is a heavy and pointless word, and we all know Hideo Kojima love to directly take ideas from movies and put it in his video games that what I call "stealing". This doesn't make everyone think he is creative, and in the context of this topic it opens a funny fact that Hideo Kojima believing his USB would be useful, again my personal opinion, is make me laugh farting ayy lmao.

Not only that but the "sexual assault" and "porn" criticisms of Snatcher are insane nonsense. You can sort of flirt if you feel like it, which there's nothing actually wrong with (did you think flirting was a sex crime?), and there is no sexual content in the game that I remember. The rest is little jokes based on graphic adventure commands, ie what happens if you use a command in the wrong way? It's not like you're supposed to do it and you get nothing good from it.
Every idea is a mix of things that already exist to some degree. The less obvious and blatant it is, the more creative it feels. Snatcher is inspired by Blade Runner but that's not all it is at all.
