My favorite 360 game is 'Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts'

I enjoyed the heck out of it. I know its not everyones favorite Banjo Kazooie, but it's a fun time.

I have asked a lot of places the same question: PS1, PS2; What are true hidden gems?

I am trying to expand my gaming with these systems and this would be huge to find games I never knew about, that are sick.

Cheers, post them up!
Koudelka. Metal Arms: Glitch in the system. Monkey Hero. Wild9.

Good fucking luck getting a copy of either.

Rhapsody A Musical Adventure for the PS1 is an amazing tactical rpg a hidden gem and an obscure one too.
You can also get all of them on modern consoles now too. No more scalping.

I don't hear this game mentioned often outside of places like this, so just to make sure it's out there, since it's an absolute goddamn masterpiece: Alundra, for the PSX.
Pretty much the best top-down Zelda game that's not a Zelda game. Highly, highly recommend it.

And while I'm at it, here's a random, overlooked action game that deserves way more attention: Rising Zan, also for PSX.

Man, now I'm remembering tons and tons more - I'll limit myself to one more recommendation, since I don't want to flood this thread: Racing Lagoon, a street racing JRPG, also for the PSX.
Games like this are the reason people like me still consider the fifth console generation the most interesting. Genuinely weird ideas realized with an actual budget (for the time). Great stuff.

(Great Youtube channel btw - plenty of other recommendations on there as well)
I'm about to ruin your day. The version we got on PSX was not actually the proper game.

Working Designs screwed with the code and changed quite a fair few things.

saw the edit, throwing more games in
on GBA there's the summon night: swordcraft story series, really interesting action RPGs where random encounters are sidescrolling real-time fights and your RPG progression is focused around crafting new weapons. On SNES I'm not sure if this is exactly a hidden gem or not, but Umihara Kawase is one of my favorite platformers ever made. On game boy, there's trip world, really nice little platformer by sunsoft. If we're not limited to consoles, then I've also gotta plug Glove On Fight 2: Gleam of Force, old indie PC fighting game that's abandonware

Blood Will Tell on PS2, they should have use Dororo as a title instead.
If you know the manga then you know the drill, you play as Hyakkimaru, your job is to hunt down demons to retrieve your human body. I love how they incorporated this into gameplay, you start off playing in monochrome until you retrieve your eyes, then slowly learn new abilities as you regain your body, like double jump from the legs, or sensing enemies with your nose.

Oh and you might notice that Amemiya Keita is part of the design team, mostly known directing dark and grittier Tokusatsu shows before this, he is also the character designer for Onimusha 2 and 3. His handiwork and style really stand out in this game, I mean you can add almost all of the demons here to Garo tv series and no one's gonna notice.

bullet witch is so good in the worst way possible

what do you mean?
its one of those super jank games that is still a good time for the right crowd. like if someone told me it was a 3/10 i would 100% agree with them but follow up with saying that i had a lot of fun. i started to question if i was having fun in spite of the jank or because of it while playing it and im still not sure

To me (at the risk of sounding like a super weeb), a lot of Bullet Witch's problems came down to Atari not only butchering the game's Western release on Xbox 360 — from making your guns woefully weak to the point of the Shotgun being virtually useless, to making Western players pay money for the Concept Mission DLCs which were originally free in the Japanese version — they also hyped up the game to have new features and improvements like improved lighting, better framerate, or higher res textures or something along those lines that turned out to be lies in the end. My experience with Bullet Witch came from the 2018 PC port by XSEED which, while that port has some jank and porting issues of its own (that sadly Marvelous won't address since they abandoned it), the gameplay felt more enjoyable and each of the guns at least had more purpose than in the Western Xbox 360 version on top of being able to play it in higher framerates if your PC can handle it.
