I feel like almost anything on the Saturn could be considered a hidden gem.
Assuming you're already familiar with the more famous greats like Shining Force 3, Bulk Slash, Stellar Assault SS and Dragon Force...

I rarely see anyone talk about Three Dirty Dwarves.
Pretty good 2.5D... beat 'em up, I guess. Just a shame about that title.

Also, Shinrei Jusatsushi Taroumaru!
Fantastic Treasure-like 2D action game. It's as yet untranslated, but you really only need to know the controls anyway, it's not a story-driven game.

Y’know what? You’re right. I never see mentions of shining force 3.

I agree, having only been familiar with the PSX and N64 at the time, the Saturn still has a mysterious aura about it hahaha.

Which is such a shame! Those games are so goddamn good! Some of the best TRPGs out there, with really cool map and objective design.
I keep harassing anyone I can get my hands on to give them a shot. ?

Bulk slash, princess crown, stellar assault, gungriffon, sakura wars, yumimi mix remix, grandia, dungeon master nexus, Zanma Chouougi Valhollian.
So many hidden gems on this system.

I believe the Saturn was the Gem.
But for real Guardian Heroes.
I have played that game all the way through probably 5 times in a row because of the pick your path type gameplay they have. And the characters all are unique.

I played it when I was super young in Japanese with my uncles Saturn and even though I didn't understand it. It was still satisfying to play even then.

As others have said, many many games on the Saturn are worth playing. Not to mention Saturn ports of many games are superior to their PS1 counterparts (though not always).
