So I was asked to help a thread on Steam on how I got Hexplore working without it crashing and figured I would share it hear as well for anyone that has be struggling to get it to work without downloading hacked .exe files!
Unfortunately this game (Gog or Steam) doesn't receive updates to get the 3d wrapper it uses to work properly as Windows changes or updates. So it might crash after the intro.
And I am not a fan of hacking the exe if not absolutely need as it could lead to other issues. A 3d wrapper can many times fix the rendering without having to rely on hacking the exe.
And this works on many many older games that have rendering issues!
Best solution is really is dgVoodoo. It's super easy once you have experience with it for any windows version.
Just download the latest version of dgVoooo

The best option for me Windows 11 x64 was:

- All you need to do is put the dgvoodoo .exe & .conf into the game's root folder.
- Then copy the .dlls from the "MS" folder to the games root folder (Just choose the x86 or x64 according to your Windows version)
- Run the dgvoodoo .exe and under DirectX tab set your preference.
The best option for me Windows 11 x64 was:
- General tab
- Appearance = Windowed Stretched
- Direct X tab
- Videocard = GeForce FX 5700 Ultra
- Resolution = Desktop
- Uncheck watermark checkbox
- Leave all other settings alone
