I've only played the demo, but the intro FMV is burned into my brain. "Tinky tinky clanky clanky what the fuck is that?!"Tiny Tank
Tail Concerto has always had a magnetic effect on me. It takes place on a bunch of floating islands and you play as the most adorable doggie guy ever named Waffle Ryebread, who rides around in a little mech that shoots bubbles. You use said bubbles to immobilize troublemaker Kittens, grab them and, uh, I've always been unclear as to what happens next. They get like, thrown over Waffle's head and get sucked into a green thing on the back of his mech that seems to miniaturize them as it does so. Is it like a ghost trap from Ghostbusters? Does the green thing teleport them somewhere? Is it something far darker? Anyway, I don't even need to tell you the game is Japanese.
It's the only game in the Little Tail Bronx series I've played, though the rest of them are on my radar. Especially the Fuga trilogy. That would also be a good choice for this topic. War is hell with adorable little fuzzy things. I imagine the vibe is similar to the Valkyria Chronicles games, but I could be wrong.
TIL the character designer for the game is also the character designer for Chrono Cross, Escaflowne and a bunch of other stuff.
