Yes, when I was a teenager who started surfing on the internet.
She what?…
Holy shit, that's mean as hell. Getting scammed is already bad enough, but getting laughed at on top of that? What a bunch of uncivilized pricks. One time I was desperate to secure last min tickets to a gig. Someone on FB claimed to be selling. They had over 100+ friends and 1+ year posts so I took them up on it. Paid via PayPal "friends and family" so that they they wouldn't be "hit with an extra charge". Then once I had sent the money, they video called me to laugh in my face for being gullible.
I got on the line to PayPal and got my money back, but still.
There are some absolute cunts out there.
Oh well, lesson learned.
100% a scammer, would have lost your account forever, should probably report himQuite recently, I met someone online while playing a Monster Hunter game in PSN. I helped him out by providing several RNG dependent quests I had but he didn't that would help him progress. I got a friend request from him and I accepted. He was grateful and he would often visit the online session I hosted and w'd play several quests together. He was quite chummy after that.
Then one day, he saw I was playing a certain game that he was interested in (through checking the friends list where you could see what games your friends are playing). Then out of the blue, he asked for my account details so he could play my game on his console. That immediately rang alarm bells in my head and he said pretty please through several messages. I just stopped responding and I never saw him again in my games.
I know it's the prudent and sensible thing to not give someone your account details who's not a very close friend or family member but I sort of feel bad. Was he a scammer? Would he have logged into my account and changed the password? Would he have just played the game and not mess up my account? I don't know but...why does anyone ask those things with people they don't really know if they mean well?
Anyway, I didn't de-friend him. His name is still there, still plays a lot of games but there's no contact with him whatsoever.
Dude, that's not a scam. I would call that straight up theft. Were you able to at least recover your money?Yes, my ex-girlfriend sold my computer after I moved out and she used the money to buy her new boyfriend an iphone. I found out about this 3 months after we broke up.
My guy, that ain't no scam, that's just messed up what she did.100% a scammer, would have lost your account forever, should probably report him
