Manga Has anyone read the Metroid manga?

Hey everyone,

I just started reading the Metroid manga from 2002 (published in Magazine-Z), and I wanted to hear what you all think about it.
Have any of you heard of this manga before? And for those who've read it, do you think it's good?

Also, just curious: is it considered canon to the Metroid series?

I didn't even know that one existed but I have read some of the old Nintendo Power Super Metroid Comics.

Actually, I already knew of the Zelda manga's existence. Just haven't read it.

I'm just surprised to hear that there's one for Metroid considering that it's not nearly as popular in Japan as it is in the west.
