Whoever, I'm very glad that this thread exists! Not only people got to tell about their favorite characters but also we got to see RGT strong instance on this matter. It really warms my heart makes me feel like it's home here, unlike other communities from the internet where "free speech" is "encouraged" yet you have to justify yourself for who you are.

Oh shucks, I forgot March 31st was Trans Day of Visibility. I was worried for a sec because April Fools' day is tomorrow.

I've always been alienated from Masculinity and Gender roles, I've always liked feminine things and things that are for women, I've always liked Series for women and Shoujo Anime and Manga, one of my favorite anime is Utena and series like Cardcaptor Sakura, Vivian is a character that I really relate to and I'm horrified when someone calls her a man, she's a character that gives me great comfort. I hate it when people think trans characters aren't trans and call them cis men or women. It makes me so angry that I start to cry please please just accept me for who I am.

I've felt pretty similarly over the years to be honest, and still question from time to time. For what it's worth, I think you're a great person and would/will accept you no matter what, and I don't think I'm the only one here who feels that way.

I don't know anyone who is transgender in real life being from a small town, there aren't really many people here. At least, not that I'm aware of.
I’ve been as a lesbian my entire life and have always been more of the “one of the guys” type, you know? As I mentioned, in a small town everyone knows your business; it’s the kind of place where people even know the last time you went to the bathroom.

From around the age of around 15, when most everyone found out, until my mid 20's, I faced a lot of stares, hateful remarks, and overall, not many people liked me. I don’t mention this out of self pity, but rather to express the genuine feeling of being detested for what was misunderstood or seen as abnormal.

To everyone here who relates and has experienced this, my heart, soul, and love go out to you.

I'm bi too, and somewhat effeminate but still identify as male. I just don't like seeing people feel unaccepted just for being themselves. Everyone deserves kindness.
