Fuck it, I'll post non-binary characters since some non-binary people identifies themselves as trans.

Trick, my beloved. They're always smiling, wandering and being naive, literally me.

Also: Leo from Tekken

*Leo has no official gender, but some English localizations of profiles and in-game text apply gendered pronouns to them.

I'm not gonna do an extensive research on this, but I consider Leo to be gender neutral because they're the most non-binary coded character I ever played in a fighting game.

this is sort of a spoiler but if you know a bit about eggs and closet cases you would sus this one out not long after seeing her tbh, venus from we know the devil

View attachment 51797View attachment 51798Erica Anderson, She's unfortunately treated like shit in the game's narrative 😞, and she's used for transphobic jokes, but I love her very much, one of my favorite characters from Catherine. ☺️
Wait what , I missed were the game tells/implies Erica is trans ???

Erica first appears in the video game Catherine, where she is a waitress of the Stray Sheep bar. She frequently engages with a group of her childhood friends, including protagonist Vincent Brooks. One member, someone who is younger than her and not a childhood friend of her, develops a crush on her. She chats with them about various gossip and rumors, including one about a witch in town. This story turns out to be about her, including incidents from their childhood. She eventually engages in a relationship with Toby, causing her to be subject to the same potentially fatal nightmares that affect Vincent and others. Erica eventually becomes aware of the true nature of her manager, known as Boss or Thomas Mutton, who was actually a god named Dumuzid, and was responsible for these dangerous nightmares. He explained that these nightmares were given to people who are wasting the reproductive value of their partners. In one ending, Erica is shown to have had sex with Toby, who regrets it due to finding out that she is a trans woman.

Nooooooo not my boy toby he was my favorite ::dkfacepalm. Guess that leaves me with only Erica and Katherine

Atlus unfortunately has a terrible history with transgender characters, both the Persona 2 Duology and Persona 3 has transphobic NPCs.
For being contemporary depictions of (japanese) youth with overall well-written and deep characterization, each Persona game really has one or two big stinkers like that where you're reminded the games were written by a 50 year old nerd.

I'm glad they rewrote the one in P3R to just be a conspiracy nut, at least.

At the beach part where you're trying to hit on girls, the only one that responds positively is a trans woman (renamed to "Beautiful Lady?" with a question mark once you find out) and the characters get grossed out at the fact, noticing she has stubble or something.

They changed her into being a conspiracy nut, claiming that the sun isn't real.

Edit: Nvm Icaro posted a link lol.

This music gives me anxiety.

Imagine being so politically-brainrotted you can't even look at people different without thinking of red or blue.

If you don't accept them, ignore them, my father was the most traditional man in the world and even someone like him learned to let them live their life even if he didn't approve.

Happy 🏳️‍⚧️ visibility day!
